S.A.F.E. is a non-profit promotion and production union made of and for musicians and fans interested in making the scene better as a whole.
Membership...
Membership entails supporting S.A.F.E. and it's productions; whether promoting, laboring, performing and even showing up to events is considered support. All members pay a one time fee of just $2 and get to part take in events such as barbeques, recieve free zines we publish, have a chance to write for the zine (big for all you striving journalists), get your voice heard, and tell the promoters charging an arm and a leg what you stand for, most importantly, be a part of a music world change that will dent the local scene forever. Further donations outside of the basic $2 is strictly voluntary. S.A.F.E. is definetly fun and the people here are great.
Capital...
All our funds are obtained from membership ($2), door covers, and donations. All the money from that is used for all our producing of mechandise, promoting materials (zine, stickers, compilations) and used solely for future productions. All labor and performances is considered donation, translation, all of us here are NOT getting paid.
Merchandise...
Bands are allowed to sell merchandise at any event. Vendors are also allowed to sell merchandise, as long they are a part of the union.
Food and drink cannot be sold at ridiculous monopoly prices either.
Door Charge...
Door charge at shows should not exceed BARE MINIMUM. This is not a money making venture for bands, promoters, or venues. This is for the good of the scene as a whole.
