I kissed each one goodbye, and set them on the ground. The little one took right off without thinking twice, little bugger!! The big one took his time, checking things out, nibbling here and there, letting me sit there and watch him and talk to him. I was afraid since he wasnt leaving, that maybe he didnt want to be free after all, so I moved closer to him to see if I could pick him back up. NOPE!!!! That wasnt happening 'youre not catching me again lady!', so I was assured he was where he wanted to be and once he wandered out of my sight, I left my babies behind, already worrying about them, and missing them terribly.

See the bunny right in the middle?
Little did I know how much I would miss their antics, watching them gobble up their greens, wiggle their little noses. How I was going to miss the beauty of the little cottontails I was growing to adore........
I'm outta here!!
The two bunnies I had left were about 5 weeks old. The smaller one never really did like much to do with me, he wilded up quite early. The bigger bunny was a rather sweet fella. But he too began to wild up, and I knew that they only wanted to go and be free bunnies. I took them to my girlfriends house, where they would have lots of brush piles and woodstacks to hide in, no known predators in the area, and a small field behind her yard. Seemed like a perfect bunny habitat for my babies.
