SPECIAL ASSISTANCE ON FIRE AND RESCUE INC. is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization. Organized by C/INSP. RODELIO DAMAULAO BFP., FO3. NELSON G. LAUDE BFP., FO1. LEMUEL VINCENT ALCOSEBA BFP. and Hon. ROLAND P. REYES last March 18, 2002.

Over the span of 2 years SPECIAL ASSISTANCE ON FIRE AND RESCUE INC. or SAFARI has grown from the original 12 members to 25 and 18 junior SAFARI members. The group reached-out to secondary schools to mold students in the field of service through special trainings and seminars. Making the community more aware of the functions and responsibility of the BFP and the functions of the group as well. Since then, BFP and SAFARI works in a relation tat benefits the community it serve.

SAFARI is under the supervision of the City Fire Marshal of Danao City and SUP. ANDERSON COMAR BFP, The Provincial fire Marshal of Cebu.

Through the efforts of the Officers, the City Fire Marshall and SUP. ANDERSON COMAR BFP the members have acquired their basic trainings from, BFP � 7 SEARCH AND RESCUE UNIT, BFP � 7 EMS, CEVSAR, RESCUE 211 and DANAO CITY FIRE STATION PERSONNEL. The group is now capable of responding different emergency situations like FIRE ALARMS, HIGH ANGLE RESCUE, FIRST AID TREATMENT and WATER RESCUE.

FIRST AID KITS and EQUIPMENTS, EQUIPMENTS FOR HIGH ANGLE RESCUE, RADIO COMMUNICATION FACILITIES AND 1 ADOPTED FIRE ENGINE FROM THE BFP are the only equipments used by the group in performing their task, in which except for the old fire truck, all was provided by the members. In spite of the lack of equipments this doesn't prevent the group in fulfilling their duties:
