Before you start to apply henna, there are some things you should think of. These two things can be very helpful:
It's important that you have enough time. Else you will just be stressed and the henna won't be as beautiful as it should. Make sure that you have about one hour for applying (if you are a beginner) and at least a few hours before you wash the hand. You should begin either from the finger tips and work down towards the thumb and the arm , or start from there and work upwards. Some designs can be easier to start from the middle, for example the last one on Designs but you probably know best yourself how you should work. Clean the tip of the tube as often as needed. And try to keep the rest of your hand clean. If you want to remove something, do that as fast as possible, else the skin will get the colour. Use a pin if it's a small detail you are going to remove. If it's more, use wet tissue paper, and be careful. It's easy to destroy the rest at the same time and you don't want that, do you?
