Rina's Terms and Conditions
The reason for this auto-blurb is because people always ask the generic question of, what are you looking for?  And it always took so long to answer it.  Fortunately, I pretty much know exactly what Im looking for, so I took a little while to jot it all down.

DISCLAIMER:  THE FOLLOWING WOULD BE IDEAL, HOWEVER, I DONT KNOW EVERYTHING.  IM ALWAYS OPEN TO NEW IDEAS.

SURPRISE ME.

Physical Description:  First of all, I want somebody my age!  20-26 or 27, but thats it!  Please dont contact me if youre 30 or over or still in highschool!  Were not going to have anything in common.  But anyway, on to the facts.  My head tends to snap around if the guys waist is in the mid to low thirties and his chest is in the mid to low 40s.  *shrug*  I dont know why exactly, but I like them a little on the bigger side.  If you dont mind being smaller than me though, I will totally get over the fact that youre really thin.  I would prefer not having someone thats too overweight.  It all comes down to proportion and how well the person takes care of themselves.  If you can do nothing and just have a really fast metabolism, and look great, good for you.  If you dont and have to work for it (like me), it would be nice if you did.  Blue eyes also melt me.  Though I rarely end up with people who have blue eyes.  Dark hair has always been my favorite as well, but again, Ill survive with a blonde.  *laugh*  As for me personally, Im around 170lbs. and only 53.  Im stocky, thick, and top heavy (36D).  My measurements are something like 42/35/42, and Im a size 14.  I know that pictures can be misleading, and it tends to be, from what Ive experienced, a general preference for guys to go after thinner women.  Im definitely not that.  But hey, if you dont care, bring it on!

Education:  Call me stuck up, but I have a degree, and I want somebody else with a degree.  I know having a degree doesnt automatically denote intelligence, but it does imply ambition, goal orientation, hard work, and determination.  I know everybody has a reason why they didnt finish.   But if you want it bad enough, youll find a way.  *shrug*

Monetary situation:  Please dont tell me you live at home.  I want somebody whos independent.  Your own car so I dont always have to drive, your own place so I can come over and not have to worry about running into your mother!  I also dont always want to pay for everything.   If you dont have money, we just shouldnt do things that require money.  I really dont care.   But if you dont like the fact that you dont have money, you should be doing something about it.  Not whining.

Does the guy pay?:  Here's my stance on this.  I think people (regardless of gender) should pay because they want to be nice.  End of discussion.  Don't pay for me because "you were raised that way," "you feel obligated to do so, " or because I'm a woman.   I have no problem going half way.  I have no problem paying.  And I have no problem if YOU pay, but only if I can pay next time.  Or if I can pay for the movie, whatever!  It's 50/50, ALL THE WAY!  Trust me...I won't make a scene or anything stupid like that in the restaurant.  I'll just say thank you...just don't flip if I offer next time.

Interests:  Im a geek.  Thats really the fastest way to say it. I love Star Trek, AD&D, Magic the Gathering, any console and PC games, and I even LARP.  Its a plus if you know what all of the things that I mentioned are.  Im also a member of Markland and attend Pennsic every year.  Again, if you have the same interests, I shouldnt have to explain.

Music:  If Im in the car, I just put on the local popular station.  I dont really care.  I like some of it.  I hate some of it.  But it doesnt bother me so much that I refuse to listen to it.  If Im PAYING for it, 9 times out of 10 its Ani Difranco, Fiona Apple, Poe, Jewel, Tori Amos, etc.  I like indie folk artists.  If Im performing, I like mezzo arias.  Yes, Im a singer.  I perform opera whenever I get the chance.  Being able to read music and/or play instruments is a plus since I play clarinet, piano, sax, and flute.

Fitness:  Ive had 4 knee surgeries.  They started working on my left leg when I was only 8 years old.  Ive never been allowed to take gym class, Ive never been on a sports team, and Ive never been really able to run.  I pretty much have to avoid stairs at all costs, and I have been in a wheel chair on occasion.  Everything is pretty much fine now, but my point is, Im fragile.  I cant be roughhoused too much.  I definitely wont be able to go jogging with you or anything like that.  Granted, I do work out 4 times a week, but its all low impact and closely monitored.  If being athletic is a requirement for you, we probably wouldnt get along.  In addition, because of these restrictions on most of my life, I dont like sports.  Period.  I dont like watching something that reminds me of what Ill never be able to do

Career:  Im the Assistant Editor of Realms of Fantasy.  A bi-monthly international sci-fi/fantasy literature magazine.  My job is to decide who gets published and who does not.  I tend to get along with literature loving, thoughtful types.  Thinkers who can talk all night long dissectingwell, pretty much anything I throw at them!  So I tend to get along with people in professions that utilize the mind more than the body.  I would probably get along with a philosopher better than with a construction worker.  *shrug*

Pets:  Im allergic to fur and feathers.  If you have pets, I cant come over.  You also have to either wear clothing fresh from the laundry or take a shower before you see me cause I will get sick.

Smoking/Drugs/Drinking, etc.:  I think smoking is disgusting.  Period.  If you smoke or even socially smoke, dont come near me.  Im allergic to that too and think its a disgusting way to kill yourself.  I dont condone drugs of ANY KIND.  Yes, this includes pot.  Drinking I dont have a problem with if its social.  If youre idea of fun is getting drunk very single weekend then you have a lot more problems then you know.

Dancing:  I love to dance.  Especially salsa and meringue.  Unfortunately, I cant go to clubs all that often because Im too afraid somebody is going to bump me too hard, etc.  I always have to watch out for my knee.  But, when I go to family functions, etc., it would be nice if the person I was with could hold his own on the floor as well.
