| Date: Frirday 9/8/06 Time: 7:00 pm Place: Rolling Rock Attendees: Danny, Jim, Paul, Tim, Gene Race 1 of 3 Mini-Series Results With ole Hank singing "All My Rowdy Race Friends" blasting on the I-pod five eager racers kicked off the 2006-07 SacHoGroup season. More about the winner in a minute but first... The racers Gene, Jim, Paul, and Tim along with track host Danny fount a somewhat different Rolling Rock Raceway to challenge them. An additional two feet of straightaway was added bringing the 4 lane setup to lengths running between 72' and 74'. All racers seemed to agree that the 14 feet of straightaway created more speed and better rhythm. Jim was our first winner of the season in Club Stock with a total of 112 laps recorded in six-two minute heats. Quite a pace! Danny also had 112 laps but was back five feet. The race was very close with all racers covering a 100 laps or more. Club Stock Lap Results Points Awarded Jim 112 100 Danny 112 95 Tim 109 90 Paul 107 85 Gene 100 80 Super Stock crowned a different winner, Paul Haak. He rolled off 126 laps with 24 of those coming off the dreaded red lane. That folks was a fine display of driving. Again Danny was second one lap back at 125. Jim fighting off back pain (I think from crashing into a "Rolling Rock") toughed out 121 laps for third place.
