The second race of the series was at the Spyder Speedway, now located in beautiful Carmichael CA. It's still in Paul's garage but now the garage is almost a legitimate addition to the house. Space was tight for the 6 racers but thanks to Jim extra pit tables were provided. If we had any more racers someone would have actually had to sit on the couch!
Club Stock:
Rules limit the manufacturer to G3's in this class so it was a real tight event. Paul snuck out a win with 96 laps over Tim with 93. It was a hard fought battle as folks were getting used to the Spyder Speedway again. The last race on the SS was almost a year and a half ago, but the track was clickin' and power was good.
Super Stock:
Open to any mfg in this class, there was some Panthers and George drove his Storm, but G3's led the way to victory in this class again. Paul 108, Mike 104. Another terrific drive by everyone, Tim had controller issues, dashing his final heat. After the totals were tallied, Mike tweaked Georges Storm and dropped his lap times significantly, 3.9's. Look out for George in the races to come...
