Well, Yuccie held his first race today featuring large T-Jets (1/32 scale) IROC style. The event started with a 7:00 a.m. breakfast for a few of his co-workers recruited for the race. Lumberyard raceway consists of two tracks, a two lane infield road track and a very promising oval on the outside. The oval's wiring wasn't quite ready so an elimination style race was held on the infield road track.

The recruits did really well and there were plenty of challenging heats. It was really clear that Yuccie was "King of the Road" as he held off all comers. He was even down during his first two heats and pulled off a very convincing come from behind win each time--he is just as dangerous in the 1/32 scale as he is in 1/64.

Paul got some great shots of the action with his digital camera when he wasn't racing. Paul was a natural with the "large T-Jets".

This was a really fun race and hopefully the first of many--my kind of T-Jets!

For those who missed the fun, there is always next time!
