| Date: Friday 9/18/03 Time: 7 pm Place: Spyder Speedway Attendees: Mark, Paul, Jim, Tim, and newbie Tom Another light crowd at this race, but that doesn't mean the action wasn't intense! Both races were hotly contested. This race was an introduction to tjets for Tim and Jim who used loaner cars from Mark. Mark is the local expert on the subject and he proved it in this race. Mark took the victory by one lap over Tim and Jim. Mark's stable of tjets proved strong. Paul was pathetic, but racing tjets is always enjoyable. (He just had to dust off his tjet box before the race) After the fun intro to tjets, we got down to serious business. Sacramento Club Stock has been a long tradition in the Sac area and is a favorite because it pits very competitive cars together. The rules lend themselves toward very tight races. This was no exception. Tim, Jim and Paul were running 4.0 laps in warm ups. Did Paul run a 3.7 in warm ups? Hmmm, yes he was dialed in. (Oh and yes he did practice a couple times earlier in the week) Paul did pull away with a 101 lap total. Followed closely by Tim who ran the lowest lap (3.9). Jim and Mark raced neck and neck with everyone else. It wasn't easy passing anyone in this race... Next one may be at Billy's, this in unconfirmed for 9/26. |
