Well, I don't know if I should call this a "season opener" but it sure felt that way. It has been a while since we had some serious racing in the Sacramento area. The boys were out to play this Saturday.
No Tjets allowed at this race, Club stock and Super stock were ran. Speed, Speed, and more Speed! Yes, there was some rust to brush off but track times came down quickly and made for some hot action!
Now, I know Tim has had some experience racing in the past with his brother, but he still claims to have only one year experience in the hobby. Alright, we'll let that slide. I knew from the first time I really raced with him at Loomis Lanes that he was going to be a force to be reckonned with, and quickly.
After just a handful of races at the Spyder Speedway, Tim seems to have mastered the tricky driving requirements, and after just a year of polishing and tweaking his cars he is very fast.
Both first place trophies fell into Tim's hands (Club and Super stock) this day. And decisively. He came in first by more than a handful of laps in both races. Congrats Tim, and enjoy those cool hot wheels!
Paul was put to shame on his home track. He vows not to let this happen again! Race on!
