| 2/9/02 Race Results |
| Date: Saturday 2/9/02 Time: 6:30 pm Place: Sacramento Speedrome II Attendees: Billy, Todd, Jose, Curt, Kyle, Paul. The first race on Billy's Bucktrax is in the books! First I would like to thank Billy and Tracy Bowerman and Family for putting the race on for us and making the new pit tables available to the racers to pit on. What a pleasure it is being able to have pit spaces to work on your stuff and having a 1st class race place!!! Thank you! I would also like to say what a thrill it is to see H.O. racing really coming in to its own in the Sacramento area. All of our Club tracks and facilities are really nice and the people involved are very interested in making it all work, my hat is off to you guys. Ok, lets start off with the Club Stock race shall we? This is a pretty popular class and the racing is close usually but the "rust" factor was in full effect and the cars had seem to forgotten how to stay in a slot on the "Bonsai" track... We were running 3min. heats in a "Round Robin" format with 1:30 break between segments. All races used the "Auto Qualify" feature in "Lanemaster"(Great time saver!!!!) In the first segment Billy B. took off to an early lead w/ 50 laps setting a blistering lap avg. of 2.5/2.4 sec. in white followed by Paul H. in Blue with 48 laps, Jose' w/ 45 in red, Todd H. w/ 43 in yellow, Curt w/ 39 on yellow (first sit out coming in) followed by Kyle w/ 35. Here are the lap totals for the race. Congrats to Billy for the win, we won't take it so easy on you next time! :o) He has taken to slot racing like a duck to water!! good race! Paul H. is really moving up with a podium win, great driving dude! Jose wont be so nice to us the next time he comes down from Nevada! The Loomis boys had a little trouble in the Club Stock race but made it up a bit in Super Stock. Kyle will be the one to watch! This was the first Super Stock race officially and was a blast. Once this class gets rolling it will be a lot of fun! Again Billy showed us that the time he spends on racing R/C cars is not wasted by showing us the back of his Panther!! Paul was doing well but was having a little magnet retainer problem on his P3 but still did great. Good racing Curt, podium finish my friend!
