Super G+ / BSRT G3 Tips
CA Slot Car Message Board
This is the basic chasis with club stock modifications.
The body tubes are as far apart as possible. Super glue these in place. Try to keep the location the same on each car so bodies can be interchangeable. Body pins fit through the lexan body into the tube to hold it in place.
The recommeded pinion is Tyco, or grey Tomy 7 tooth.

Crown gear is usually 22 tooth, depending on track length and layout.

Rear axle should have spacers to allow for only slight play.
The front axle should be aluminum independent with .350 front tire size.

Electrical system may be silver replacement.

Bend the tip of the pick up shoes back for reduced chance of popping off.

Guide pin should be Racing style, replace if worn or bent.
Motor magnets must be stock, but may be matched for optimum RPM.
Armature must be stock.

The end bell should have the timing cranked all the way down on the driver's side.
For optimum traction, there should be a slight sign of wear accross the rear end of the chasis.
Lubrication Points:

Lube the 4 axle contact points, the front and rear spots where the arm rides, grease should be applied to rear pinion and crown gears.
Pick up shoes should show sign of even wear accross the entire length.

Bend pick up shoe retainers down to lower the ride height.

The tail of the pick up shoe may be ground down if it is dragging on the rails.
For optimum power, be sure the contacts are rounded and pressed against the retainer. Use an exacto knife to rebend these after hard crashes.
Traction magnets should be stock black. Use tape to shim them on the top to get them closer to the rails.
Rear rims should be double flanged.

Rear tires should be BSRT or Super Tires, A or B compound.
Pick up shoe tension is conrolled by the pick up shoe springs. Increase tension for continuous rail tracks.
Bushing to help armature spin freely and keep from slipping. Used in "modified" cars and beyond.
