Tips: Rear tires are one of the keys to setting up a car for racing. If you are going to buy any tool to start with, a tire gauge is what you want. This provides a way to measure your tire height to within 2 thousands of an inch. Slip on silicone tires are used to race in Club stock class. There are 2 types of these A, and B. A tires are softer rubber and stick on plastic track better. B compound tires are harder plastic and are used on smooth routed tracks. Sometimes you may find the opposite is true depending on the car. Super stock uses sponge silicone tires. These are silicone covered foam tires that are pretty expensive, but that's what separates the Club stock from the Super stock. They are the best performing tire you can buy. If a car is set up to high, it will tend to spin out in the corners. If a car has to low of a rear end the car will tend to slow down and drag.
With your rear tires you will want to get double flanged rims. They come in a variety of colors and sizes. The combinations of rear tires and rear rims are endless.
