In numerous interviews since the conclusion of Big Brother 2 the outspoken housemate has said she doesn't take any relationships formed in the house seriously - except her own with Peter, of course. She dismissed Shannon and Brodie's coupling as 'nothing serious', Mirabai and Damien's pairing as non-existent and said current 'it' couple Jess and Marty's relationship is something that won't last. Coming from someone who has so far been largely ignored by Peter (who is more interested in his family) she really should keep her mouth shut. 16 July 2002 Sydney Confidential Housemates from BB2 at O'Malleys in Kings Cross on Sunday night. No sign of lovebirds Damian and Mirabai, but Turkan and Peter were seen smooching in a corner. 2 July 2002 Big Brother Generation The Britney Spears/Brooke Shields Award for best impersonation of a virgin: Turkan. While in the house, she maintained she was saving herself for marriage, but was forthcoming in offering sex tips to others. Post-eviction, she said the virgin cry was false. The Best Supporting Actress Award: Turkan, for her tantrum at the entry of intruders Brodie and Keiran. It made for riveting television but Turkan's teary turn and threats to leave were difficult to swallow. 1 July 2002 It's A Wrap! Turks just wants to keep is simple: "I just want to see Marty and Pete. I�ve missed them so much". 1 July 2002 Turkan & Nico Nico Barone was the love of Turkan Aksoy's life for 2 years. But within hours of her eviction they were no longer a couple, torn apart by her closeness with HM Peter Corbett. "Big Brother accelerated what was going to happen anyway," she says. "It's been difficult for me with Nico. I'm not Italian and not Catholic. I was struggling to be accepted by his parents. He's 21 and I'm 30. And he was always defending me in front of his parents." NW predicts: Now it's over with Nico, Turkan and Pete will hook up after the show. NW 17 June 2002 The highlight of the week has got to be meeting Will Smith. I was at the 'Men In Black' party at the Summit Restaurant in Sydney. Contrary to the rumour running around in some circles about me and Aaron dating, for the record, it�s most definitely not true. He�s a great friend of mine but my heart is not with Azza - nor is any other part of me for that matter! I�m just a very single girl and loving it. 20 May 2002 Turkan: I'm Not a Virgin In a tell-all interview this afternoon with Big Brother Online, Turkan admitted that she is in fact not a virgin. She also revealed that she broke up with her boyfriend Nico last night, and is now keen to focus on her feelings for Peter. �I have had experiences with people I�ve loved,� when asked about her declaration in the house that she is a virgin. When asked directly if she was a virgin, she answered: �No.� Turkan claims she told the other housemates she was a virgin because she was uncomfortable talking about sex, and thought that would let her off the hook. Turks also revealed that last night, shortly after being evicted from the house, she called off her relationship with Nico, her boyfriend of three years. She said that the break-up was motivated by the feelings she has for Peter. "I can't help what I feel and Nico knows that..... I couldn't do anything in [the house] when I had this other person that I was responsible for and who was responsible for me." When asked directly if she is in love with Pete she replied: "I had emotions that I don't know how to define with him. I don't know whether it's love or whetever else, but we talked about it." 8 May 2002 (Day 31) "What affect has the intruder scenario had on all HMs?" Turkan: "Not every HM feels like love is in the air", warning the new arrivals it will take her time to get to know them and she has her reasons for that. Turkan is upset again. She is crying to Sahra, Pete and Marty about how she finds it impossible to stay happy in the house all the time. Turk has told Jess she admires her love of life. She said initially she was scared of Jess and her big personality but now is in awe of her positive spirit. Jess told Turkan she admires her inner strength. Turk went on to say she hates hypocricy and feels there's a bit of it in the house. Turk has told everyone she is staying. She apologised for causing any tension last night but she admitted she found the whole intruder experience overwhelming and "wanted out". Since talking it over with BB, her friends in the house and the psychologist, she has decided she wants to honour her commitments and walk out the right way and continue on. She told the intruders she is looking forward to being as close with them as the ones who have left. Everyone is happy, especially Pete. Turk seems a lot happier and is making an effort with the intruders. Turkan has decided to stay! After a good night's sleep and an early morning house clean, she's thought long and hard, and decided she wants to honour her commitment and is much happier with it all since talking to those she loves in the house. BB is happy. Turk said she will tell all the HMs when everybody is up. She is also hosting the family dinner meeting tonight. She already has a few things she wants to add to the agenda. 7 May 2002 (Day 30) Turkan has decided to stay another night in the Big Brother house to think about whether or not she really wants to leave. Turkan: I want to let you know, I would like to be leaving. Big Brother: Why do you want to leave? Turkan: Because I don�t want to play any more. Big Brother: You remember before you came in we had a talk, and I said If you want to leave, what I�ll try and do is get you to stay overnight, and get you to just sleep on it, think about it. I know it�s your decision at any time you can leave, but I just don�t want you to leave and regret it. Turkan: Oh, you know I�ve been thinking about it. The third intruder Brodie has just been announced unbeknownst to the housemates. While the celebrations continue in the house, not all housemates are sharing the happiness. Turkan has just decided that she is definitely wants to leave the house tonight. 28 April 2002 (Day 21) The thing is that the moralistic Turkan has Nico, her boyfriend on the outside. If this wasn�t the case, would she be interested in Peter? Recently she told Aaron that she wouldn�t, that Peter was like a brother to her. Turkan chose the night of the Devils and Angels party to remind Pete she was taken. He reacted by saying he was looking forward to having a beer with Nico when they all got out of the house. 26 April 2002 (Day 19) Turkan took off to the pool to look up at the full moon. Not long after, Peter joined her. They are having a big deep and meaningful. He said "I thank the gods that I got in here and met you". She hugged him and is now resting her head on his lap as he talks about the other members of the house. 25 April 2002 (Day 18) Turk is unquestioning in her belief of God. Shan asked her what she thought of aliens. Turk said she didn't have the energy to even think about UFOs in her life. Turkan had her first kiss at 24 and was proposed to at 14! 22 April 2002 "We both trust each other and I trust she won't do anything that will jeopardise our relationship," says Nico. "She said she wouldn't do any nudity and one of that bed-hopping stuff," says sister Gina Lewis, 27, possibly referring to last year's "dancing doona" episode. "I don't think she'd flash or anything like that." "Turkan believes in that fantasy of when you grow up you can become a star." Oh, Big Brother! P. 27 Who Weekly 15 April 2002 (Day 8) While the housemates are happy to openly discuss their sexual adventures, Turkan feels like a �prude�. She commented today on being the final female housemate to shower naked and recently told the housemates that she is still a virgin and her boyfriend is nine years her junior. Nathan in particular, was fascinated by this information and probed her for further details. Clearly distressed, Turkan has not been keen to elaborate. 10 April 2002 (Day 3) Turkan gets her belly button pierced by Sahra - the first piercing in the BB House. 7 April 2002 (Last Day Before Going into the BB House) I spent my last day with my partner. We just held each other for a while. - Turkan doesn't drink alcohol. - Turkan has "trust issues", especially with her father, with whom she shares a troubled and distant relationship.
