| 21 May 2002 Turkan Dumps Her Man AFTER weeks of agonising over her boyfriend Nico in the Big Brother house, one of the first things Turkan Aksoy did after leaving was to dump him. Turkan said she spoke with the long-suffering Nico after leaving the house and the two decided to call it a day. "I felt if I can be attracted to someone else, there's a problem there," Turkan said, adding she and Nico had always agreed that if they were attracted to someone else, they would discuss it with each other. "I had a bit of a talk to him about things," she said. "He was quite upset, [but] I told him I didn't compromise myself or him." To explain this rather novel outlook, Turkan believes it's different for the person on the outside of the house to understand the context. "It's hard for Aaron and Sahra and Marty's partners," she said. "You've got a half-hour show that's made up of 24 hours, they're not getting the full picture of things." Turkan and Nico will talk in person on her return to Sydney. "I don't want things to end badly," she said. Even with all obstacles gone, Turkan isn't sure if she and Peter will meet when he leaves the house. "I'm not thinking beyond today," she said. "But I've got an amazing human being as a friend."
