| September 2001 Big Brother's Blair Joins Neighbours! As has been widely reported in the Australian press, Big Brother runner-up Blair McDonough has joined the cast of Neighbours playing a new character named Stuart Parker. While Blair is an unknown quantity in the UK, he is a huge star down underafter coming runner-up in the local version of Big Brother. Through the course of appearing on the fly-on-the-wall series, Blair revealed his acting aspirations and auditioned for Neighbours soon after being relased from the house. He will make his first appearance as Stuart - and old friend of Drew Kirk (Dan Paris) - before Christmas. "I've been a big Neighbours fan for years," he says. "I'd done a few short drama courses and was trying to weasel my way into the industry when this big ugly monster called Big Brother came along, so I had to try that.
