| 14 December 2001 Neighbours (Season Finale) A bumper week in Australias favourite cul-de-sac as Blair McDonough of Big Brother makes his much antipated debut as Stuart Chooka Parker the younger brother of Drews oldest mate. A likeable country bloke, itching for a fresh start in the big smoke, Stuart bumps into Drew at the Oakey Rodeo and pressures him to offer him a job as a mechanic, but Libbys emergency labour throws a wee spanner into the works. After battling the odds to become pregnant, Libby Kennedy (Kym Valentine) is faced with her biggest challenge to date, when she goes into premature labour. Over one thousand miles from her home and family, Libbys life and that of her unborn child hang in the balance as she finds herself isolated from Drew (Dan Paris) and locked in a barn at the Annual Oakey Rodeo, while she suffers her first agonising and unexpected contractions. Elsewhere, Stephanie (Carla Bonner) believes she has finally found love again after the tragic death of Woody (Andrew Curry), the love of her life, but is thrown into turmoil when she learns Woody survived the accident and has returned to Erinsborough. What will Steph decide when she is forced to choose between Mitch (Hugh Sexton) and Woody? Meanwhile, Paul (Jansen Spencer) is required to make the toughest decision of his life when he is offered a position on the team of the Adelaide Crows. Is he prepared to leave his surrogate family and his best mate Tad (Jonathon Dutton), immediately and forever? Tonights episode marks a fitting end to a big year for one of Neighbours' favourite couples with a cliffhanger ending that fans won't want to miss. Article from Telstra Entertainment |
