I have assembled the following webbings. I collected them because I wanted to complete my different impressions. I concentrated with the British stuff first because they are harder to get. I grab them when they are available. Click on the thumbnails to view the pictures. Click your browser's 'back' button to return to this page. |
U.S. Navy SEAL Land Warfare This kit was assembled for me by a friend. The grenade loops have been removed from the four ammo pouches. All the pieces have been taped to the web belt. This prevents any unwarranted noise. Note the Ranger beads, waterproof match and earplug case. |
British DPM Camouflage PLCE To date, these are the only pieces that I have. I still have to get a DPM SA80 sheath and entrenching tool carrier to complete the set. |

U.S. ALICE Webbing This is the standard loadout for the U.S. troops in the 80s and during the Gulf War. This comprises of two M16 ammo pouches, an M9 bayonet, entrenching tool, buttpack and canteen. |
British Olive Green PLCE This is a lot more complete than my DPM one. Except for the color, it is exactly the same as the DPM. I have an entrenching tool/waterbottle carrier and SA80 sheath. |
British 1958 Pattern Webbing This was the successor for the 1944 pattern and was replaced by the PLCE. This is the webbing worn by the British during the Falklands campaign. |
East German Webbing This is the NVA's webbing, note the raindrop camo pattern. This is very similar to the WWII German webbing, particularly the "Y" straps. It has hooks that you will attach to the web belt (not a very good hold). The web belt and straps are colored grey. |
British 1937 Pattern Webbing This is the webbing worn by the British during the WWII. |
