Ok Kiddies, here is how I am workin' it. First i must note that the AWESOMELY COOL PIC at the END of Act/Chapter I of Project Z was generously given to me by my way cool friend "Tania!" (thanks sexxy!) Now onto business ... I HATE leaving things unfinished, and I in fact very much like doing "Project Z" ... SO at me leasure I wil type up the rest of my story and produce a cool Project Z pic pertaining to that chapter. If all goes as planned i will have concluded Project Z by the end of the summer and will have posted a few cool pics as well. AND when Project Z IS concluded, don't worry - I'll be back with a little bonus. As soon as I can work on It I plan on posting a Blood Angel's completely colored mini comic! So stay tuned. Now one to Act II of Project Z:
The next morning Annie, Orion and Kurt have checked into a hotel. The doorbell rings and Annie leaves the room to answer it. As she walks in she is carrying a platter and is smiling as she announces that breakfast has arrived. As she sets up Orion finishes filling Kurt in on all the facts about Bio Corps. Kurt admits that the facts are hard to swallow but his outburst in the bar last night shows the proof behind what Orion has told him. Annie asks what is it exactly that Kurt can do? Orion says that Bio Corps has genetically engineered his body to make extreme amounts of electros energy through his body?s chemistry. Kurt is then able to release that extra energy through his hands in a form of ?impact? blasts. It basically would feel like getting hit by one hell of a punch. Orion says that it might feel like you got ?rammed? thus Kurt?s Bio Corp?s code name is ARIES.
Kurt asks if Orion is out to get the bad guys. He tells them he wants to stop Bio Corps and it is completely up to Kurt whether or not he wants to help. Kurt quickly agrees stating, ?I?m all for kicking the ass of the guys who decided to make me their experimental guinea pig.? He asks Orion if Bio Corps knows where Kurt is, or that he?s been disconnected from their control. Orion tells them no, they are not aware of Kurt?s status at all. When Orion broke into the facility he deleted all he could of their Zodiac research and obtained a list, he would have been able to get them all if not for Libra. Annie and Kurt look at Orion with a big question mark because they recognize ?Libra? as a zodiac but have yet to hear of it yet. Orion then explains to the Libra:
Libra is obviously one of their experiments. In this case Libra is a Latin word her book or knowledge. Bio Corps has taken a human brain and succeeded in hooking it up a giant super computer. With this a simple thought can acquire an enormous amount of information at the fastest speed. Also, now that Libra has been established now makes it virtually impossible to break into or hack Bio Corps.
Orion admits ?that they must know I have Annie but until they try to activate the Zodiac Projects they won?t know that I?ve disconnected them, and once they do discover that they still won?t be able to locate them or see where the placed them back into society because I personally destroyed all those records before they could be uploaded into Libra.?
Annie happily admits that she is impressed and Kurt shows that he is relieved. Kurt asks what there next move is. Annie informs him that it is training and finding the next Zodiac Project. Training? Asks Kurt. Orion than looks over to him and says, ?Yes, Right now Kurt can only use his gift when under Bio Corps control or in extreme situations, so I am going to train you to use your power with out either.?
Back at Bio Corps Underground base: A gigantic figure lurks into a room where Aquila is waiting. He the huge man kneels before her, and even on his one knee he still towers over Aquila. ?Libra told me you wished to see me Lady Aquila,? the man says in a very deep somewhat demonic like voice. Aquila answers, ?Yes, Orion has shown himself again and has something I want. Find him, kill him, and bring me what?s mine.? Taurus answers, ?Yes milady? he puts on an iron helmet that has 2 long horns extending from both sides of it. He looks back at Aquila and tells her he will not fail and he leaves the room.
Back at the hotel: Orion and Kurt are in an open field behind the woods near the hotel. Orion tells Kurt to hit him. Kurt looks puzzled for a second but then swings at Orion. Orion quickly catches Kurt?s fist in his hand and says, ?No, don?t punch, use your power? Kurt is a little embarrassed both that he misunderstood and that Orion caught his punch as if it were nothing. Kurt focuses and his arms do being to swell. His eyes go white and he raises his arms. Suddenly the sphere like impact flies wildly, swirling in an uncontrolled spiral until it hits the ground leaving a small crater. Orion has a big sweat drop! He tells Kurt that he is impressed that he was at least able to bring a blast up with out being threatened. Kurt admits it was kind of easy to use his gift. Orion stats that this is good however they need to work on aiming. A week or so pasts and once again Orion and Kurt are in the field again. It is established that Kurt can readily fire his impact blast at will now and even aim it in a general direction. He seems quite pleases with his progress, however, Orion knows he can do better. Orion stands about 100 feet from Kurt. He tells him to fire as many blasts as he can and try to hit him, aim at him. Kurt is ready. He quickly fires 3 blasts, one right after the other, Orion brushes back and forth weaving his way in and out of Kurt?s blast when suddenly before Kurt realizes Orion is right in front of him and has his hand on his throat. Kurt than gets the point of the exercise. He jokes with Orion that its like tag, he has to try and get Orion before Orion gets him. Orion says it is something like that and tells him again. A few seconds later Orion has his hand on Kurt?s throat another time, and simply says again. 30 tries later, it is close to dark and Kurt asks for one last try. Orion says fine, and Kurt ask tells him he is gonna get it this time. 2 seconds later Orion is once again in front of Kurt. He tells them that they?ll call it a night and try more the tomorrow. The 2 return to see that Annie has spent her time getting some groceries and preparing dinner for them. She asks how training went, Orion does not respond and Kurt just has this exhausted look on his face. Annie giggles. After dinner Annie and Kurt watch TV while Orion sits alone in his room. Kurt asks if Annie has ever seen his face. She tells him no, that he?s had the mask ever since they met. Kurt is surprised to find out that Annie has only known Orion a couple of weeks before he has. Annie questions why Kurt is so surprise and Kurt comments that it just seems like they have a closeness that would imply they have known each other for a long time. Annie simply responds with ?oh? and switches subjects but is actually really glad that Kurt thought that. She realizes she feels very safe with Orion and trusts him. Kurt asks how she is dealing with her world being flipped. She realizes that she really hasn?t addresses that issue yet and that she has just been floating along with Orion hoping things will work out. She admits this to Kurt and he does not respond. Annie asks his the same question and all he is able to say is that Orion has been a big help in making it acceptable. They decide to retire for the night. Kurt heads off to his room and Annie is about to to her as she passes Orions. She creeps her head in and sees that Orions is laying on his side in his bed with his back to her, and he is sleeping. Annie notices something on his dresser ? Orion?s mask is off!!! She silently tip-toes into the room. And although she really wants to walk around to the other side of the bed to look at his face she simply walks to his bed, slowly and quietly bends over and gives him a small kiss on the cheek. She heads for the door and whispers good night as she leaves. When the door is shut Orion opens his eyes. It is very dark so you are not able to make out his face ? he himself whispers good night Annie to revela that he was actually awake for the whole thing.
Another week has passed and once again, Orion and Kurt are in the field. Orion tells Kurt that his improvement has been very good. Kurt?s blasts are more controlled and they get closer and closer to Orion each time. Kurt asks if he is getting better why can?t he hit Orion? Orion simply says. ?If you were aiming at anyone else but me you would be able to hit them.? Kurt smirks at Orion?s confidence but is also a little pissed by it. He uses his anger to make him that much more determined. They run through the exercise a few more times and each time Orion still weaves in and out of the blasts and makes it to Kurt. Orion tells him he has shown control over the blasts but he needs to focus that control ? MAKE the blast connect. Kurt takes a deep breath and begins to focus. Orion thinks to himself ? that?s it. Kurt?s arms begin to swell. His eyes closed, he raises he hands toward Orion. Kurt is focusing. He opens his eyes slowly revealing they are white and he is primed to go. Orion signals him. Kurt fires one blast ? Orion dodges and is more than half way to Kurt. Kurt fires a second, this one very close to Orion but he is still able to get by it. He is feet away from Kurt. Aries thinks to himself ? FOCUS? Control the blast. He does not fire a third. Orion is inches from tagging Kurt when suddenly he is his from behind and falls on all fours.
Kurt quickly says, ?Are you ok!? Orion is still on all fours and you are able to tell, even through his mask that he is smiling. He brings himself up slowly and says yes. He ask Kurt what happened. He said in those last few seconds he instead of firing a third blast he stopped the second one from hitting the ground and whipped it around to get Orion from behind. Orion tells him well done. Kurt has the biggest smile one his face and starts running back to the hotel yelling, ?Annie ? I got him!?
Back at Annie?s apartment a giant hole is in the building?s wall. The police have closed the area off as a crime scene. Lurking in the ally way is a gigantic black figure. He over hears police stating that neighbors in the areas saw an enormous figure burst into the apartment and went to Annie Fidel?s resident. They say that Annie Fidel?s manager reported that she had been abducted 4 or 5 weeks ago. The manager says that the store was held up; Annie was taken by men in black suits. He peeked his head out to see the black men had been knocked unconscious and that a weird man in a mask was taking Annie. Police sighting reports placed her in NYC a week or so after that. Taurus smiles to himself and says next stop - New York City.
Next morning Annie is up early and packing. Kurt gets up and asks where Orion was, and what was she packing for. She tells him that Orion went to find a new vehicle for them and that she was told to pack because they were going to go meet the next Zodiac Project. Kurt smiles, and says, ?I?m game?
