| Jonathan on Jonathan I was born 12/09/80, in Leicester, moved to Dorset in 1986 and have lived in and around the area since. A born writer, towards the end of 1998 I was drafted in by the Spotlight on Youth childrens drama group, who were based in Maiden Newton and met in the Youth Centre on Sunday afternoons, to write a play to be performed. After a brainstorming session with the children, I set to work and wrote the play, and although it wasnt performed in the end, it did eventually become part of my A-Level English coursework! However, the seeds of interest had been sown, and I joined Spotlight, and took over the management of the group a few weeks later, until I left for my three-year Medieval Studies degree course at the University of Wales, Lampeter. Here I was introduced to White Wolf, the World of Darkness, and of course Vampire: the Masquerade (see the Dedication section on the Society page). Before long, I introduced the tabletop version to some friends (including one of the current Storytellers for the Society, Richard) back home. In the summer of 2001, the Maiden Newton Masquerade Society was officially born, with an 11-week Werewolf live game: The Sixth Extinction. The following year, the Society returned and has been ongoing since. I am just about to finish my teaching course, for Middle Years English, at Bath University, which I began in September 2003. I am aiming to eventually live in California (as I am fed up with English weather!) and teach over there, but those plans are a long way off now. For now I am looking for a teaching job for September 2004 somewhere close by so I can continue to come to Vampire! Oh, and being close to family and friends would be good too I guess... Hobbies and interests (besides Vampire) include films (cinema, DVD and video), writing (I have written one and a half novels, but as yet am unpublished), occasionally reading - everyone should read the His Dark Materials trilogy, because I think it's the best thing ever written - and music, for which I have a broad and interesting taste. I have never been abroad (unless you count Guernsey or Brownsea Island!), but I am hoping to change that once I am a qualified teacher |

| (see above). For now, I am concentrating on my teaching, and learning to drive, which I am due to start on June 23rd!! Nel on Jonathan Jonathan is the werestoryteller so hes in charge overall. Hes also the best Storyteller because he knows most about the game and hes had most practice at making plots. He can convincingly play a range of characters and remains in character at all times. Sometimes hes so convincing at playing a character its scary! He does have a rather sadistic sense of humour but this makes the games more fun! He writes the overall plots, generally something to do with the apocalypse. But they do give the game a lot more purpose. He is the one who has kept the group together over the years. Yeys! |
