| Ruler: Queen Dina Baldonesh Geography: The Crimson Kingdom is the closest of all the Seven Kingdoms to the Plains of Armaak and therefore to the Initium Occasus. Lying between the Plains and The Wasteland (both of which technically are still within the boundaries of the Crimson Kingdom, but which have grown into separate territories), it is an environmentally harsh country, inhospitable to most outsiders. | Kingdom is riddled throughout with volcanoes, linked together by a network of overground and subterranean rivers and lakes of molten rock. Temperatures soar even in the winter, while the summers are virtually unbearable to any who have not grown accustomed to the sweltering climate. Much of the Kingdom is barren and deserted, with small clusters of cities and towns dotted every now and then. Elsewhere in the Kingdom are the remnants of factories and technological graveyards. The Crimson Palace, in the capital city of Vencvre, is a foreboding and gargantuan hulk of stone, covered with mammoth carvings and sculptures of the ancient gods, particularly Wlannde, the god of Crafts. Atop the twin towers surrounding the huge entrance to the Palace are great statues of leus and orton, the legendary founders of the Crimson Kingdom, depicted as fallen warriors in memory of the great battles they fought against the other realms in the Kingdom Wars. Aside from Vencvre, the largest city in the Crimson Kingdom is Brockelyn, although, lying in the east of the Plains of Armaak, it has since been claimed almost entirely by Nephilim, although many Crimsonians still reside there. Queen Dinas predecessor, her father King Dashaak II, formally and officially handed the city over to the Nephilim under command of Darswin, a feral yet wise Vitabreed, who still retains the title today of Lord of Brockelyn. |

Peoples: Like most of the Kingdoms, the Crimson Kingdom is home to all sorts of Humans and Nephilim, although there is a definite strong Nephilim presence there, due to the close proximity of the Plains of Armaak and therefore the Initium Occasus. Most Crimsonians are tanned and weathered, due to the strong climate, and many choose combat and soldiery as a career; the Warriors Guild has a strong presence in the Crimson Kingdom. The same goes for much of the Nephilim population, most of whom favour physical prowess and combat-related skills. However, the Crimson Kingdom is also home to some of the Worlds greatest craftsmen both Human and Nephilim and all around the barren areas of the Kingdom can be seen the abandoned and often the not-so-abandoned workshops and factories of great mechanical geniuses. All too often such craftsmen abandon their projects due to scientific or practical failures, leaving the Kingdom littered with technological debris. Politics: As far as relations with other Kingdoms go, the Crimson Kingdom is fairly amiable since the Kingdom Wars ended, although most other nations distrust, whether secretly or openly, the Crimsonians because of their close and cordial relationship with the Nephilim. Within the Palace resides the current ruler, Queen Dina. Dina is known to have great ambition and an insatiable appetite for power, and barely denies rumours that she wished to reclaim the Plains of Armaak and the Wastelands under the Crimsonian banner. This has caused much trouble with the Nephilim, and perhaps that is the reason why the rest of the Crimsonians are so favourable towards them they fear the repercussions of Dinas actions. At the Grand Council of 2001, only two rulers opposed the motion to declare the Plains of Armaak as the eighth, Nephilim Kingdom: King Oladauh Djion of the Golden Kingdom, and Queen Dina of the Crimson Kingdom. |
