What weapon is best?
There are a grand total of 17 different weapons in this game, each with its own unique skill. An archer uses the bow while a tao uses the backsword, so that leaves 15 others for trojans and warriors to choose from. Nine of those weapons are one-handed, and the remaining six are two-handed. Trojans will most likely stick to one-handed weapons, but warriors have the unique opportunity to benefit from any one-handed or two-handed weapon. This guide is simply meant to provide information on each weapon and its' skill, not tell you which weapon is better or best. That will be for you to decide.
One-Handed Weapons:
Dagger - The dagger has the lowest attack values of all weapons, but has the highest accuracy rate. It also has the highest frequency of all the one-handed weapons, which means it hits fast and doesn't miss very often. It's skill is Penetration, and it is the hardest of all skills to level. Penetration is a passive skill and it simply boosts the damage done to a single target.
Sword - The sword has low attack damage, high accuracy, and has a frequency of 100. The sword has two skills that can be used with it: Scent Sword(SS) and Phoenix(nix). SS must be activated because it uses stamina, so you get about three shots before you have to rest. SS is much like Fast Blade(FB) in that it must be aimed, and hits all targets in a straight line. Phoenix is a passive skill and it adds regular sword damage to a single target, so it is like getting in a double hit when it goes off. It is nearly as hard to level as Penetration. Scent Sword can be used in the training grounds, but is not as good as Fast Blade.
Whip - The whip has the same damage, accuracy, and frequency as the sword. Its skill is Roamer, and it hits all targets in an arc in front of you boosting damage as well. Roamer is a passive skill, and levels quite easily.
Hook - The hook has slightly better damage than the sword, slightly lower accuracy, and frequency is 100. The hook skill is Seizer, which is a passive skill that boosts damage done to a single target. Seizer is about as hard to level as Phoenix.
Blade - The blade has the second highest damage of the two-handed weapons, less accuracy than the hook, and frequency is 100. Its skill is Fast Blade(FB), which is an activated skill that requires stamina. You get about three shots before you must rest to restore stamina. FB is like SS in that it must be aimed, and hits all targets in a straight line. It does not boost the damage, and it is fairly easy to level. FB works well in the training grounds, and is a primary PK skill for warriors and trojans.
Hammer - The hammer shares the same statistics as the axe, scepter, and club. It has the highest attack, lowest accuracy, and frequency is 100. The Hammer skill is Boom, which is a passive skill that stuns the target.
Axe - The Axe shares the same statistics as the hammer, scepter, and club. It has the highest attack, lowest accuracy, and frequency is 100. The Axe skill is Earthquake, which is exactly the same as Boom.
Scepter - The scepter shares the same statistics as the axe, hammer, and club. It has the highest attack, lowest accuracy, and frequency is 100. The scepter skill is Celestial, and is very similar to Seizer.
Club - The club shares the same statistics as the axe, scepter, and hammer. It has the highest attack, lowest accuracy, and frequency is 100. The club skill is Rage, which boosts damage and hits all mobs in a 360 degree circle that are attacking you.
Two-Handed Weapons:
Wand - The wand shares the same statistics as the spear, glaive, and halberd. Of the two-handed weapons these four have the lowest attack damage, highest accuracy, and have a frequency of 90. The wand skill is Snow, which boosts damage and hits all mobs surrounding you. It acts very much like Rage.
Spear - The spear shares the same statistics as the wand, glaive, and halberd. Of the two-handed weapons these four have the lowest attack damage, highest accuracy, and have a frequency of 90. The spear skill is Speedgun, which is a passive skill that greatly boosts damage in a straight line. Speedgun is similar to FB and SS.
Glaive - The glaive shares the same statistics as the spear, wand, and halberd. Of the two-handed weapons these four have the lowest attack damage, highest accuracy, and have a frequency of 90. The glaive skill is Wide Strike, which is a passive skill that boosts damage to multiple targets.
Halberd - The halberd shares the same statistics as the spear, glaive, and wand. Of the two-handed weapons these four have the lowest attack damage, highest accuracy, and have a frequency of 90. The halberd skill is Stranded Monster, which is a passive skill that boosts damage, hits multiple targets, and stuns.
Long Hammer - The long hammer shares the same statistics as the poleaxe. These two weapons have the highest attack damage, lowest accuracy, and have a frequency of 80. The long hammer skill is Halt, which is a passive skill and fairly easy to level. It is a similar to Roamer, but it has a longer forward range.
Poleaxe - The poleaxe shares the same statistics as the long hammer. These two weapons have the highest attack damage, lowest accuracy, and have a frequency of 80. The poleaxe skill is Boreas, which behaves very much like Wide Strike.
