Nuts and Bolts - its the nuts and bolts of it all, really...
As I have gone through this project I have replaced all nuts and bolts, with Stainless Steel versions (and some nuts with Nyloc variants).

This is a simple and inexpensive job to do which makes sense.  Why spend serious money on everything you can see, hear and feel but spare a few quid on something that may fall apart or seize, just because you can't see it?

Decent stainless steel fixings - with a touch of copper anti sieze - will also save time, effort and grazed knuckles the next time you come to do some work on the car!

The complete lot of nuts, bolts and washers I used ( which is 90% of all fixings) on the car cost about 50 posted on-line.  Cheaper deals may be found but be sure not to buy them in packs of two from your local hardwear store - it would cost a fortune!  The same can be said for the hose clips...

I will soon be posting a list of all bolt and hose specifications, particulalrly useful for when you discover all engine bolts are metric where as all chassis and body bolts are imperial!
