Classroom meetings for lectures held on May 10, 17, 24, 31, June 7 and June 9, 2005.
Day 1 - June 10 � Depart Miami International Airport. Arrival at Belize City Airport and Air Transfer to Dangriga via Tropic Air (overnight at Pelican Beach Resort) Prep for trip to Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary - Tropical Rainforest
Day 2 - June 11 - Depart for Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary. After settling in the Dormitory, prepare for River Path Hike and field lecture
Day 3 - June 12- Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary - Hike to Ben�s Bluff and waterfall, begin environmental mapping project with GPS, overnight at Cockscomb.
Day 4 - June 13 - Travel to Caracol, explore, identify and map archelogical features with GPS and GIS
Day 5 - June 14 - Return mid-morning to Pelican Beach Resort for lunch, then board boat to South Water Caye in afternoon. Settle in at Pelican University Dormitories. Lecture/lab on Mangrove Ecology, tour nearby mangrove communities.
Day 6 - June 15 - South Water Caye snorkeling of nearby seagrass beds. Lecture/lab on Seagrass Ecology, boat trip and snorkeling on Barrier Reef. Lecture on Coral reef structure and ecology
Day 7 - June 16 - 1/2 day boat trip and snorkeling on Barrier Reef. Lecture on Coral Reef Ecology
Day 8 - June 17 - Prepare for return to Pelican Beach Resort. Take boat transfer to Dangriga and Pelican Beach Resort. Overnight at Pelican Beach Resort.
Day 9 - June 18 - Tropic Air Transfer to Belize City and Departure back home.
