ten-member performance troupe from the capital city of
Shijiazhuang of Hebei Province, China,
visited and performed in the
Greater Des Moines area from February
12 to February 17, 2005.
The city of Shijiazhuang is the sister
city of Des Moines, Iowa, and
their visit kicked off the yearlong celebrations
of the 20th
anniversary relationship of the
two cities. The musicians also
performed at Tsunami Benefit Concert,
held on February 13, 2005.
