- Getting Connected - Technology Assessments

Health Care Reform Services Division can help!
We will help you assess your technology and electronic communication needs, and provide detailed recommendations for making efficient and cost-effective improvements.
This service is free of charge, but is only available to health care reform organizations in our region (Alaska, British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana)-- all we ask is that you respond to requests for feedback!
While a Technical Assessment is limited to groups within the aforementioned scope, the forms may be used by anyone. Completing them will help you identify your current technology and future needs.

- Conduct a
formal assessment of an organization's current electronic networking capabilities.
- Evaluate existing equipment, determine if it can be upgraded to meet your needs, and provide detailed upgrade recommendations.
- Provide
specific purchase recommendations for any new equipment required.
- Offer cost-effective solutions
towards the goal of providing desktop access to email and the Web for each staff member.
- Extend recommendations on how your organization can use these tools strategically to protect the places and people you care about.
Our Technical Assessment forms consist of four documents:
- Our cover letter will provide you with instructions for completing the assessment forms.
- Our organizational technology assessment will help us assess your overall online communications capability.
- Our workstation assessment allows us to assess the capacity of each individual computer in your organization. You should complete one workstation assessment for each computer.
- While we've made the forms almost entirely jargon-free, a glossary will help you understand some of the technical terms in the forms.
Because these documents require more formatting than standard HTML can provide, we have made them available as Microsoft Word documents. In most web browsers, simply clicking on the highlighted text will download them to your machine. You can then use Word to open and print them.
When you have completed the assessments, email, mail or fax them to us. You will receive a complete Technical Assessment and Recommendations in approximately 4-6 weeks.
