Summary:
Slayers
is the hilarious anime written by Hajime Kanzaka. It is about a roughly
15 to 16-years-old, red-head girl named Lina Inverse. She is a very powerful
sorceress who faces different problems like demons etc. as the anime proceeds.
In the first episode is when the cute-looking young man with long blond
hair, known as Gourry Gabriev, appears and saves Lina from the bandits
who were chasing her. Why were the bandits chasing Lina? Because she blew
up their hideout and stole some of the things the bandits took from others.
They were pursuing her so they could get their goods back. Anyway, Lina
would have defeated all those bandits by herself if Gourry didn't show
up. But since he did, she just sat back and let him do the rest. After
wiping out all the bandits, Gourry treated Lina as a little girl, to her
displease. It's not a surprise he did because she was so short and little.
Anyway, Gourry finally found out Lina was traveling to Atlas city and decided
to accompany her since she was a 'little girl'. As the anime continues,
it becomes obvious that Gourry is not exactly what you would call a 'bright'
person. But he is a very good swordsman and have the 'Sword of Light',
which when Lina found out, wanted desperately. As the anime unfolds further,
more characters are introduced, namely Zalgadis and Amelia. This anime
is recommended for people who likes sword fights, lots of magic, comedy
and fantasy (if you haven't seen it already).
