11. Share a story about one of your siblings.

This would be about my sister Nan. We were staying at my grandmother Millers house and we had had spam for supper. It made Nan sick and she threw up in the bathroom sink. Of course she tried to wash it down the sink, but couldn't so she got some newspaper and cleared it out of the sink and tried to flush it down the toilet. That didn't work so we took it and hid it underneath one of grandmas wash tubs and forgot about it. Days later grandma came out and said I found a wad of something damp under the tub. Do you girls know anything about it? Of course we didn't, but Nan said "I think it was a frog." I am still laughing about it today.

12. Did you have a favorite pet while growing up? Tell us about your pet(s). If you didn't have one what did you wish for?

I have always had a cat or two. I had a black and white cat I called poo-poo tiny. I wrote a song about him. I had a beautiful yellow tabby, Cats named Babe cat, It cat, Boinger cat, Nitchie cat. Now I only have Tabby which was my mothers cat and I took him when she passed away. He is still going strong at 16 years old and he is spoiled rotten.

13. Did you haver a favorite family vacation? Tell us something about it.

We went to Maine in 1971. Jerry and the kids and I. It was fun! Always spent time near Lake George and went camping when the kids were younger. Went camping on Lake Champlain...always liked to go fishing.

14. Do you follow any religious beliefs? Tell us about your church.

I am a member of Christ Church United Methodist. I read my bible and do my devotions everyday. Since I have been ill, I haven't been able to get to church....but I still have a strong faith.

15. Do you collect anything? Tell us about your collection or favorite item.

16. Is there someplace you lived that you especially liked or disliked and why?

I liked living up on Ridge Road at the old homestead because it was open country. You could always be outside in the country air with no one around. It was really peaceful there. I like my home now where I have lived with Jerry for 49 years. It is a real homey home and I have spent most of my life here.

17. Tell us about your mother, do you have a special memory of her?

unavailable

18. Do you have strong political feelings? If so, do you have any idea where you got them? Or if you have no political persuasions, how come?

Unavailable

19. How has music influenced your life, do you sing, play an instrument or have a favorite song?

We always were singing and harmonizing growing up. Nan, Peggy, Connie and I used to sing together at different occasions. I love playing the piano. Jerry bought me one and I took lessons. I think I play better by ear than when I read the music. One of my favorite songs is "Mac the Knife".

20. Do you have a school experience that really stands out in your mind, either good or bad?

I was in 1st grade when we went to South Glens Falls School. I didn't like school at all. Someone gave me a piece of charcoal gum, it was good! Gum was a treat, as we didn't get it at home. The teacher told me to put the gum in the waste basket and I made believe I did and kept chewing it. The teacher called me up to her desk and gave me a spanking with a ping pong paddle and put the gum on my nose. She sat me in the corner all day. At the end of the day I had to clean the black board. She was an old bat! I was always getting spanked in school, I guess I was a little shit.
