Moses of the Barkeaters is the first book written by the author. Phil is just one of the thousands of descendents of Moses Harris, Sr. He lived most of his life in Harrisena, the main area represented in this book. As a youth, he fished the same brooks and hunted in the same mountains where his ancestors settled.
He lives with his wife, Wanda Witt Harris, in Lake George, New York.
