Chapter 4: Angel in the Night

Hong Kong...

The fighters walked out of the airport, and hailed down a taxi. They were finally here to begin their grand adventure. The cab finally pulled up to a beautiful Hotel with glass elevators on the outside and extremely posh decor.

"Wow!" Dan exclaimed. "You always stay here when you visit Hong Kong?"

"Yeah, when I have to attend different functions for the Masters Foundation, this is my favorite place to stay." Ken said pulling his baggage from the cab.

The three walked up to the check in desk, but before they actually made it to the clerk, and man dressed in a fine suit came up and bowed to them.

"Welcome back Mr. Masters" I took the liberty of preparing the top floor for you and your guests. How long will you be staying with us?"

"Umm, for now about a week or so." Ken answered.

"Very good. Sir. If I may?" he snapped his fingers and two bellhops came up and took their baggage, and led them to the private elevator to the top floor.

"As the elevator started to climb to the top, Ken said..."Well, I think we should all relax and take it easy for the day. Tomorrow well go out looking for a fighting ring. Meet me in my room tomorrow morning for breakfast, and we'll go from there."

They agreed and each was shown to their rooms.

Later that night...

;Ryu tossed and turned in his sleep. His mind replaying the strange events that happened to him at the beach. He woke up sweating. It was about an hour before midnight, he tried to go back to sleep, but found he could not. So he decided to go out and take a walk. Maybe the night air would clear his thoughts. He walked for several blocks taking in the sites and sounds of the city.

;He walked for about an hour and was about to head back to the hotel, when he felt the presence of a strong chi. He stopped and looked around the street to see if he could pin point it's location. As he narrowed his search down, he found the source of the chi. It was a beautiful Chinese woman who was sitting alone at an outside cafe. He stood there from across the street and looked at her, taking in her beauty. He had never before so much as really looked at any women for that matter, but something about her held his attention. He was about to avert his gaze from her, when she looked up and there eyes locked.

;It was if she was staring into his very being. From looking into those lovely brown eyes from the distance he was at, it was like being right up next to her. He saw pain and sorrows in her eyes, where there should have been warmth and happiness. He also saw a longing in her expression. For some reason, she continued to look at him taking in everything about him. She smiled at him and was about to get up to walk over to him, but a bus came around the corner and when it had passed, he was gone.

;She looked down the street both ways, but there was no sign of the man who had caught her attention. She had always got looks and ogles from guys, but paid no heed to them. They were either slime balls or they just didn't interest her. But for some reason, this stranger had taken her breath away. She saw a kindness and innocence in his eyes that she had never seen before.

"Maybe I am just seeing things now." she thought to herself. "A man just couldn't disappear that quick. Your starting to lose it Li" she told herself and gave out a *Sigh*.

Ryu was about a block and a half away from where he saw the beautiful woman.

As he was walking back to the hotel, he thought about what had just happened. He felt uncomfortable with the emotions he was now having.

"I have never had this feeling before." He mused. "Why do I have it now? I have seen many women on my travels before, but nothing like this has ever happened."

He was still trying to sort out his emotions as he walked into the lobby of the hotel when he saw Ken coming in too. "Hey buddy! Couldn't sleep either, huh?"

"I am so excited we are getting the chance to do this that I could not fall asleep, so I decided to head out to check out the night life.... Hey! Are you ok?" "You look like you got something on your mind." Ken asked.

"Well, to tell you the truth, I am indeed perplexed. I was also out walking when I happened upon this corner and saw a woman..."

"Was she cute?" Ken asked with an evil grin.

"Yes, she was very beautiful." Ryu replied.

"Oh my god! Ken cried. I can't believe it!"

"What is that? Ryu asked.

"You are ACTUALLY interested in something OTHER than the fight!" Ken laughed as he slugged Ryu on the arm.

"This has never been a concern of mine, but tonight I was just caught up in those two lovely eyes of hers when she noticed me looking at her and started to come over."

"So, what's her name?" Ken asked wanting to hear more.

"I...I... I don't know." Ryu stammered.

"WHAT? You didn't even ask what it was?

" I did not stick around, a bus came between us, and I left before she saw me go." Ryu Explained.

"YOU DID WHAT? YOU MEAN.... YOU DIDN'T EVEN.... Ah hell! Ryu, I know you live the life of a vagabond, but didn't you even want to say hello to her? Ken asked surprised.

"I didn't know what to say... You know me Ken, you always got on me for hardly even talking."

"I know, we'll buddy, we will just have to work on that later. Come on, Let's head back up stairs and tell me the whole story. Maybe we can find her around tomorrow when we take on the town."
