Day
Three:

On the third
morning we woke up and packed our tent.
We were on the move. By 8:00 AM
we were on the road to Hana. This road
was never straight. It always
curved. It was impossible to go over 30
miles an hour. As we headed toward the
East side of Maui we stopped often to view small waterfalls and natural
pools.
However, by mid-morning we were wearing long sleeved shirts and pants. Not because it was cold but because of the fear of Dengue fever. This illness is spread through mosquitoes. But, we did not let this fear stop our travels. Instead, we put tons of bug repellent all over our bodies, three times a day, and walked fearlessly into the wild mosquito infested land.
Along the route we stopped at a small
stand that sold smoked fish. We ordered
smoked blue marlin. It was very
good. We then continued to the state
park near Hana. We set up our tent and went site seeing.

We
walked to the Black Sands Beach, where we took our shoes off and entered the
ocean.

We then climbed and sat upon the rocks and watched the waves crash against the shoreline.
