SEASON 1
"The Dawning"

In the first season, we meet the Imaad family. The current residents are Plague, Kenyamon, Hoofamon, Shinmon, Muff, Ryoko, Suzuka, and Aden. The series starts out with Ryoko defeating Zellos. The series gradually goes into flashbacks of how the current residents ended up there and why things are the way they are. As the random adventures begin, Sin shows up near the beginning of the series. As the months progress, he eventually ends up living with the Imaad's. Soon, Zoe shows up. The villain of this season is Nagumo. As it is throughout most of the series, the Fatum Caelestis Prophecy is analyzed as the heroes try to figure out what the great evil is.

~*INFORMATION*~
The Fatum Caelestis Prophecy is the heart of the Mish*Mash series. It revolves around the true meaning and is playfully referred to as the Dooms Day Prophecy. It is a famous ancient Latin scripture written long ago, predicting the birth of the most powerful physical being in the universe that must defeat an evil greater than any the world has ever seen; an evil with power even greater than the prophesized one. The Chosen One must gain the ancient power, the Sacrosanct, in order to defeat this evil. The prophecy translates to this:

.And so there shall come forth a being of demon, human, and monster heritage united whose power is scarcely short of Gods, created by Him to defeat the worlds utmost nemesis to whose power exceeds the Chosen Ones own.Sacrosanct entwined now must be unleashed if Evil is to be vanquished. Trinity combine, a shining star guide, Destiny fulfill.

I know what youre thinking: God using someone with demon and Beast blood? Blasphemous, right? Well, in a sense I guess it kinda is, but the Chosen One has to have all races in their background to unite with all of the ethnicities created and gain the power needed to defeat the great evil predicted. Now, as for the prophecy itself Some of it doesnt make any sense, does it? It will later on in the series. The point is figuring out the true meaning, after all!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The Sacrosanct is an ancient holy power that only the Chosen One can gain possession of through strict discipline and training. Only when they pass the test will they earn it. However, they must learn how to control the immense power before it destroys them first.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

There are several different types of demons. Some, like Dark demons, only have a human-like form. Usually animal demons, like Fox demons, have both an animal form and a human-like form. The humanoid form is their natural form, but they often take the form of an animal for long distance travel or to disguise themselves. Like Beasts, there is a demon race for almost every species of animal in creation. There are also elemental demons: Light, Dark, Death, Chaotic, Fire, Water, Earth,Wind, and Void. Demons can obviously possess people, use varying energy attacks, control their elements, and use their elemental powers to form their own weapons.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

There are only three vampire races. The Patina, Black Eye, and Spliced Eye vampires all hate each other because of prejudice. All three see themselves superior to the other races. Possibly the only thing that all three could agree on is that the Spliced Eye are the most dangerous and the strongest.

-Black Eye: The most common race of vampire; theyre characterized by their black eyes.

-Patina: Theyre not very well known, but their luminous eyes that can be any color of the rainbow (save for black, red, orange, and yellow; white eyes are rare), are the envy of some. Their eye color ranges in a wide variety and have an unnatural sparkle to them. Only a couple thousand of these exist.

-Spliced Eye: The black sheep of the vampire world; all Spliced Eye vampires trace back to Nemesis. Their pupils are mere slits like a cats eyes, usually even narrower. Only a rare few of Nemesiss fledglings have red eyes like him and those are usually gifted with special powers. Most of his fledglings have orange eyes while a select few have yellow ones. No other color is present. Though this race is the least in number, they are the most powerful and are hardly ever messed with by other creatures. Many of the Spliced Eye vampires avoid making fledglings to avoid turning mortals into something that they despise themselves because almost all of these vampires were made into one of the undead against their will. They hate what they are because they are tied to the most evil and dangerous creature in existence and are continually haunted by Nemesis and they all fear and hate him (some even go far enough to escape their mental torture and paranoia as to commit suicide to escape their personal horror of themselves), and wish not to destroy other lives. However, there are some who don't care and like ruining human lives for fun.

A vampires strength is also ranked by class:

-A-class: The most powerful. Nemesis would have to be placed in this class, but in actuality he is in a class all his own.

-B-class: Above average. Amel would be in this class.

-C-class: In between. Wraith is a C-class.

-X-class: The lowest class. A majority of vampires are in this class, Zachariah included. Even though theyre lowest on the strength scale, theyre still a force to be reckoned with, especially when it comes to shrewdness. Because theyre not as powerful, they make up for what they lack in cunning.

The only way to kill a vampire is by using strong white magic, using fire to burn every particle of them to cinders (in most cases; stronger vampires are harder to burn to death and Nemesis is totally immune. Vampires can easily recover from burns unless their body is entirely turned to ash and then they're officially dead), or a rare blessed silver stake through the heart or head (a wooden one won't cut it). Werewolves are the only creature who can solely kill a vampire with ease. Any other means will only temporarily injure the vampire or not affect them since they can't feel any pain otherwise. The worst garlic could do is cause a vampire to sneeze. It's just like humans: some can stand the smell of garlic and others can't, it doesn't keep them away unless they never liked the smell of it in the first place. Crosses do nothing. In fact, several vampires are actually very religious and go to church like normal humans. Holy water can sometimes leave permanent minor scarring (like white magic usually leaves some scarring), depending on the amount used or the power of the prayer the water was blessed with, but nothing too serious. They reside and travel where they please and coffins or dirt from their homeland aren't necessary and are hardly if ever used. Often a vampire travels through a teleportation action known as Phasing. They can go wherever they want without limit. They could be in Cuba in one second and Australia the next. Like all living things, vampires have evolved and can freely walk around in the daylight without being hurt or destroyed. Bright light does irritate them to a certain degree, so they often wear sunglasses (even in illuminated stores). Some prefer to wear obscuring clothing out in the daylight as well, but can willingly go around half naked without being sunburned if they wish (they don't tan all that much either).

Human food can be toxic if not eaten in moderation. It can't kill a vampire, but it can make them sick and they'll regurgitate it. However, vampires can eat a little bit every now and then without it harming them, it just takes a long time for the body to absorb it into their bloodstream since they can no longer digest food. Zachariah likes potato chips and he eats a few every now and then, but never too many.

As for what a vampire's like, they're cat-like in a way. They're fast, flexible, acrobatic, and when they hiss they sound like a large cat (think of a lion or a panther hissing. Younger vampire hisses, such as ones who were turned when they were fifteen or younger, tend to sound more like house cats). When content, they even purr like cats and often do so to those they care for in an attempt to make them go into a restful sleep. When they're angry, their noises vary from cat hisses and spats to monstrous, demonic, wolf-like snarls, growls, and howls. Almost all vampires have the ability to sing in hauntingly beautiful voices that seem to echo.

As far as powers go, vampires can automatically regenerate from numerous injuries, use various energy attacks, hypnotize, overpower others physically and mentally, Phase, move so fast that they're undetected (seemingly in two places at once when you turn around), and use telepathy and telekenisis. Most vampires are skilled in one form of combat or another, most of the time with weapons. While Wraith uses a dagger, martial arts, and specialized energy attacks, Zachariah uses an axe and Kai forms a black blade of energy around her arm. Some powers vary between individuals.

When a person becomes a vampire, they lose their soul, which then drifts around in a plane between Heaven and Hell. It is only when someone kills a vampire that their soul is released from the void to rest in peace. In Kais case, her soul somehow escaped and was reincarnated into Ryoko.

Often a vampire will rename themselves, believing that their old self is dead and that they have become a completely different person. Not all vampires do this, however. For unknown reasons, sometimes when a person becomes one of the undead, their hair color will change. It is uncommon, but it happens (Kai is an excellent example. Her hair used to be blonde, but when Nemesis turned her, it became black and orange).

A vampire can only be made when a being drinks a vampires blood, thus turning that being into one of the undead. A fledgling is a vampire offspring. In Wraiths case, since his mother was pregnant with him when she accidentally drank Taichis blood, it in turn turned him into a sort of half-vampire since he did not directly drink it. It was only until he drank vampire blood directly when he was nineteen years of age that he stopped maturing at the rate of a normal human and became a true immortal. If he had never drank Taichi's blood, he would have died at a mortal age just like a human. When one becomes a vampire, they have a so-called "mortal death" where the person appears to have actually died (I guess in a sense they really have). The time varies as to when they reawaken as a vampire. Sometimes it takes days, other times it takes hours; it differs. A vampire's bodily functions completely stop. The heart doesn't beat, blood ceases to circulate and just stays put in the veins as deathly cold as the vampire's body (however they do bleed like any other creature when injured), the human digestive system ceases to work, and usually reproduction is rare. In rare cases, some vampires still have immune system functions. A heart will beat every now and then and if a fertile vampire comes across another who can reproduce (or even cross with a human), children are possible though they are mortal half-vampires unless turned into a true vampire through vampire blood. Another form of a half-vampire is one who still ages like a human through consuming blood indirectly, like Wraith was. Half-vampires are harder to spot even to full-blooded vampires because they are so human-like in movement and nature. They are mortal and age and die at the rate of a normal human, but they can regenerate to a small certain degree and don't die from injuries as easily as humans. They eat human food and act like humans and their entire immune system still functions, but every now and then they have a craving for blood and feed on mortals.

Nemesis, however, is another story. He was turned the correct way, but he remained a half-vampire. Why? No one knows. There is probably no scientific explanation as to why, but the Fatum Caelestis should be explanation enough. Being the great evil that was predicted by the prophecy, it makes sense seeing as how demons and vampires are some of the most evil creatures in existence that he'd be half and half and impure. Why is Nemesis considered a half-vampire/half-demon and what defines a half-vampire? Vampires cannot possess people. They can do mind control, but that is not the same thing. In order to possess someone, a being should be able to make their physical body disappear and enter the body of another, controlling everything that they say and do. When they speak, it sounds like several men speaking at once. Nemesis can still possess people this way, therefore he is considered a half-demon and retains his demonic qualities. Another demon trait is that they can use their element to form their own weapons. Nemesis uses his Dark demon powers to form a black sword of darkness and since his mother was a Death demon, he can easily kill things at will by touching, looking, or even thinking about them.

Other demons have been turned into vampires, but unlike Nemesis, they lost all of their demonic qualities. However, demons and vampires don't get along all that well, so usually a vampire will try to avoid turning a demon into a fledgling. It's considered an abomination of both races---plus demon blood is somewhat toxic and tastes horrible to a vampire and usually a vampire has to drain their demon prey of a lot of blood in order to render them weak enough to turn them.

Aureuss name was taken from the Latin name for the golden jackal, canis aureus. This leads to the myth of Nemesis being Satans incarnate. Sometimes hes even referred to as the devil himself. The Bible states that Satans son will be borne of a jackal. Thus, Aureus role in his sons legend and the start of the ultimate battle of good versus utmost evil.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ *~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Beasts are powerful monsters that come in various shapes and sizes that can take on human form and evolve into a more powerful creature when fighting becomes necessary. Depending on the species, some may be immortal (unicorns, pegasi, dragon, and phoenix-related Beasts are the only immortals. If an immortal Beast produces an offspring with a non-immortal Beast, their offspring will live several thousand years at most), while others may live longer than most animals (like cat-related creatures, whose life span can last up to 800 years). A few various others may have a normal life span of 100 years or less and some even as short as a week. Each beast has unique powers and roam freely throughout the world and between alternate dimensions and time. Some hate humans, some fear them, and some seek their company. It all depends on the individual Beast.

The Beasts have quickly replaced creatures of legend. Where once there were many unicorns, dragons, and others in the world, now there are only a handful of the real mythological creatures and Beasts take on the appearance of the legendary animals. The only difference is that the Beasts can take on both human and their natural animal form and have special powers that the authentic mythical animals do not. One can tell a Beast apart from another creature (even a demon in animal form), by a jewel crest somewhere on their body when in human form; the jewel is still in the same place, only in tattoo form. For instance, when Tabbymon takes on human form, her crest becomes a small tattoo on her lower back, mirroring where it would be in her true form. Beasts all have "-mon" on the end of their names if they're pure-blooded. Ones of mixed blood don't have the suffix in their name. The acception to this are "impure" Beasts who are related to one of the seven Beast gods (Kenyamon and Hoofamon are excellent examples since their grandfather is Equusmon. X may be half Beast and the son of Tabbymon, but he was never given a name, not even when Tabbymon rediscovered him. Thus the nickname the Imaad household members gave him, X, stuck). Sometimes when a beast is in human form and out amongst humans they use an undercover human name, such as Hoofamon using "Kouma" as his and Kenyamon using just "Kenya."

The seven Beast gods are the elite amongst the Beast race. They are the most powerful and wisest. They often hold council and oversee the other Beasts and dispute over relations with humans and other creatures and the various dangers. The seven members include:

Canismon: Resembles a wolf; hes the seventh ranking Beast god.
Dracomon: A dragon Beast; hes the second most powerful.
Equusmon: Easily the strongest of the seven; hes the ring leader and is an alicorn Beast.
Impalamon: Resembles a cross between an impala and a deer; shes sixth in rank.
Jaguarmon: A cat Beast; hes the fifth member.
Phoenixmon: Resembles the appearance of a phoenix; shes the fourth.
Tabbymon: Another cat Beast; shes the third ranking member.
