A giant white spider quickly makes its way to Ynyr. The Old One will make a nice snack for the arachnid unless someone helps him.
The Widow turns the hourglass for Ynyr. While the sands run, the spider will not be able to attack. He must move quickly.
The Widow is an old woman. Once, she was Ynyr's lover, but he was unready to commit and she withdrew to this cave to live in bitterness.
Though she is old, Ynyr can still see her as she used to be. To thank him for sharing his vision with her, she tells him the location of the Black Fortress.
The sands could only be turned once. To leave the Widow's web, Ynyr had to take them in his hand to ward off the spider, but as the sand slipped through his fingers, so slipped away his life. With his last breath, he tells Colwyn the Black Fortress will rise in the Iron Desert.
The Iron Desert is too far away to journey by foot in one day's travel. The only hope is to catch some firemares and ride them to the Black Fortress.
The Cyclops can tell when it is their time to die. Rhell's time has come and he says goodbye to his friends as they prepare to complete their quest.
"We had no time..." Ergo tells his friend when he finds out Rhell will not be joining them on the final leg of their journey.
Accepting his fate, Rhell watches silently as his friends ride off.
Riding a firemare is unlike anything else. The heroes get excited as they make their way forward faster than they've ever travelled before.
