Opening #3: New York City (1980-1983)
On March 3, 1980 [#1211], Ryan's Hope's opening recieved a major overhaul. Not only did the theme become much more upbeat, but the opening completely changed. The opening now consisted of various shots of New York City buildings and regular people. At the end, the opening would freeze over a shot of a few children reaching for a soccer ball, at which point the title would appear. Below are screen captures from this opening:
