What are Dakou and Spaceflying? How do I do them?


**NOTE**

First off, before I explain these, understand that these techniques are illegal on this site, and if any times are submitted that require me to ask proof, and proof is not given, the user will be banned from this site. If you want to submit your dakou times, go to F-Zero Central because they are still allowed there, even though speed doesn't count anymore there, rendering spaceflying useless. Now, if that is clear, let us go on...



Dakou
Dakou is Japenese for "the snake technique." It is a glitch in the game where you set your machine for Maximum Acceleration and just go back and forth between holding L and left and R and right, thus creating a "snaking" motion. Doing this repeatedly will make you be able to reach speeds of up to 2200 without boost! This is considered a cheat by many, and that is one of the purposes of this site, to keep out dakou times for those who hate them.

Spaceflying

Spaceflying is exactly what the name says. First, like dakou, you put your machine on Maximum Acceleration, then, you either hit a jump, or dakou and slam into a wall at high speeds to fly into space and then dive down to reach insanely high speeds. After you get into the air, you hold the (L) button down and left on the Control Stick, or hold the (R) button down and right on the Contol Stick. You also need to turn your ship to the side while diving or else you will max out at around 3400 km/h. So far, this has only been possible to be done using custom cars that are light enough to do it.
