Before I get to the Japan Pics, here is a little taste of how we do it accross the pond!
This is me and my friend's car....Yup that's a skyline R34 ....and for those of you who deem themselves car connoisseurs....it's a NUR Spec. And yes it's fast, and yes I've driven it.

So This is at one of the two R.E. Amemiya shops. Aren't these cars cool!!
The dream Car I will never own....because we can't get them here..A Cosmo!!! Oh well at least that coffee that I'm drinking was free courtesy of the very cute Japanese girl that worked at R.E. Amemiya!!
The motor that sits in that thing....it's Crazy...here's just a little hint of how fast this thing is. 20b with a t51r SPL,not a KAI, an SPL..at around 28 lbs that turbo supports about a thousand horsepower. The intercooler looked like it was on the order of about 4 in and the front mount on that thing would scare any car.
The man himself...Mr. Isamu Amemiya...very humble, but very respected. I think he had one of the largest displays in the whole show...not bad for an independent tuner.

Well this wouldn't be the Tokyo Auto Salon without a few jgtc cars...and gee...just so happens to be my favorite tuner in the whole world!
MAZDASPEED 8. So much more impressive than this little snipit lets on. and the show behind the cars well that's just a whole other story.
This is for all you nostalgic guys. While waiting in the Mazdaspeed booth a show started and I'm not talking a lady comes out and tells you about the car like at the L.A. autoshow. I'm talking lights, dancing, simulations, and ,how funny!!, a look back at the roots of the car. I wish we had this kind of enthusiasm here.
One of the GP motorsports cars and man was it impressive. Look at that engine bay...talk about spotless...I'd be completely embarrassed to open my hood.!!
One of the shops that you guys would die at....AUTOBACS.....Imagine a place where you could go and get any part you wanted and it was in stock. from recaro seats, radio equipment, wheels and tires, aero parts, gauges, turbos, name it it's in there and I'm not talking cheap rip offs I'm talking the real thing...and they'll even install it. Or if you like...have your car painted in their body shop.
Well I'm a little tired and this was a littel experiment on the whole making a web page in a day. If you guys want to contact me for pics or questions, I've left a link at the bottom of the page. Oh yeah, one more thing if you ever get a chance to visit the land of the risisng sun, DO IT!!!!
