And as if we hadn't had enough adventure...
Dad insisted on being dropped off at Exum Mountain Guides (http://www.exumguides.com/) in Teton National Park for a couple days of climbing...

He did the Exum Direct route on The Grand. In the picture below the route follows the left skyline of the higher peak and is considered to be one of the classic climbs in North America.

Dad and guide, Stephen Koch (http://www.stephenkoch.com/), hiked to the pass between The Grand and Middle Teton on the first day (about elevation 11,000 feet). And in a twelve hour push they climbed the ridge to the summit (el. 13,500 feet), descended safely, hiked out, and drank beer on the second day.

Two rather normal looking individuals....well, Stephen is normal looking, Ole' Dad has always been a slave to fashion...

Sunset at 11,000 feet

"Hey Stephen, you mean I have to follow you up there?..."

Dad reported the climbing to be clean, and the exposure awesome...

Pee break...

13,500 feet in the clouds...
Dad reports, "Awesome route, great guide, and to anyone contemplating such a journey, I would say go..."
