Listed as a farmer living in his brother Charley's household (family homestead) in the 1910 Federal Census, Hutchinson, Greene, GA, and as head of same household in the 1920 Federal Census, Walkers, Greene, GA.

According to the verbal recollections of his niece,
Ivor V. Copelan-Doggett, who was 7 years old when he died, he had a full head of hair (gray when she knew him), and liked to read.  He never married.

OBITUARY
Greensboro Herald Journal, 23 Aug. 1929 :
RICHARD W. BAUGH CLAIMED BY DEATH

  Richard W. Baugh, age 70 years, passed away Monday night at his home in the
Walker church section of the county.
  Mr. Baugh was a successful farmer and was well known.
  He is survived by two sisters, Miss Annie Baugh and Mrs. Cess Copelan; three
brothers, Mr. Charles Baugh, Mr. Edward Baugh, Mr. Ollie Baugh, all of Greene
county.
  The funeral services were held from the home, Rev. Harry V. Smith,
officiating.  Interment in the city cemetery.
