OBITUARY
The Madisonian, Madison, GA, 29 Sep. 1983:
Mrs. Lillie Mae Head Ballard of Buckhead died September 22, 1983 at Morgan Memorial Hospital after an illness of several days.
She was born January 6, 1895, in Morgan County, the daughter of the late Cohen and Fannie Partee Head. She was married to the late George Ballard.
Mrs. Ballard is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Annie Copeland of Mansfield, Mrs. Minnie Roland of Covington, Mrs. Sarah McCord of Oxford, Mrs. Thelma Vaughn of Covington, Mrs. June Powers of Covington, and Mrs. Hattie Head of Madison; and two sons, James Ballard and Dan Ballard of Buckhead.
Funeral Services were held Saturday, September 24, at three o'clock at Prospect Methodist Church. The Reverend Hollis Lungsford officiated at the service. Interment was at Prospect Church Cemetery.
Simmons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
