27 March 1686: Along with Henry Walthall witnessed the will of Thomas Lockett of the parish of Bristol, Henrico County, VA.
2 June 1690: "James Baugh by his peticon declareing that he hath a negroe woman who is soe old & impotent that he hath a charge rather than a benefit unto him; & therefore praying that she may be exempted from out of ye Lists of tythables; The truth of his sd Peticon being made appear to ye Court It is order'd That ye sd negroe be for ye future exempted from ye paymit of publiq & County Levyes." 4
April 1705: Listed on the Henrico County Rent Roll holding 458 acres.
12 JAN. 1723: "Bristol P'sh: At a Vestry called at the church 12 January 1723/24. It is ordered that whereas Mr. James Baugh, deceased was appointed to procession from Puckett run down to ye lower end of the P'sh, Mr. Alexander Marchell's by this vestry to officiate with Benj.
