LETTER POLICY |
|
|
|
Players that significantly contribute at the varsity level and are committed to building a tradition for Royal Valley High School Baseball in the manner outliined by the head coach will earn a letter. The following point system ultimately determines whether a player letters. To earn a letter, a player must earn 100 or more points by meeting all or select criteria. |
|
|
|
50% or more of the varsity innings played 50pts
No unexcused absences from any baseball related activity/event 10pts
Participation in a fall/winter Sport (or 85% of winter workouts) 10pts each
Enrollment in a weight training specific class 20pts
Summer program participation (summer prior to season) 20pts
Fundraising (raise $100 or more for the program in various fundraisers) 10pts
Coach's discretion +/- 10pts |

* In addition, players must finish the season in good standing. The head coach reserves the right to award letters to any player he feels has made a significant contribution to the varsity team. |
