At
6'3", my son choose to serve his country on a submarine.

I was lucky enough to see his boat arrive in Port Canaveral, FL.
I wish I could transfer my feelings so everyone could experience what it feels like to see them come in. We lined the riverfront cheering them on. I will never forget the site of them standing at attention on the top of that sub...Goosebumps!

One of the great things about living on the east coast is I get to see my son more often. I have met many men and women who serve us in our military, and their friends and families.

We will never know the full extent of their sacrifices.
I am grateful to know them.
Here's something you won't see everyday!
NEWS FROM THE HOMEFRONT!
Dave has accepted orders and will transfer to New Hampshire this fall. Since I now live in Virginia I have the opportunity to be go be a "leafer" on vacation. The new sub is the USS Salt Lake City which is scheduled to arrive in Portsmouth, New Hampshire about the same time he does.
