| My Sendoff to You... | ||||||||||||||
| In this yearbook, I have included what I have accomplished this past year. As you can tell, it was a year of great success, and some failure, too. Through it all, I was continually learning and I hope this yearbook has effectively passed this knowledge I have gained onto you. Despite these bumps in the road, or maybe even because of them, I have had a momentous year working as the Jewish Campus Service Corps Fellow at Rutgers University. I not only learned so much about Judaism and the fellowship, but most of all, I learned about myself and the world around me. I've learned that sometimes a friendly hello is all someone needs to feel important. I've learned that sometimes things don't always go as planned, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I've learned that I don't know everything...I don't even really know a lot, and that's ok. I've learned to trust others. I've learned to be persistent. I've learned to be diligent. You are coming into an incredible place. And you have an amazing year ahead of you. Your job is to connect with as many Jewish students on possible. This is not neceassarily an easy task; it can be challenging and frustrating. BUT, the rewards are limitless and make all the hard work worthwhile. I wish you the best of luck and hope that your year as a JCSC at RU will be as awesome as mine was. No matter what you do, remember to get creative, go wild, and most of all HAVE FUN!!! Here are my final words of wisdom helping you to create a vibrant personal life for yourself in New Jersey and some program ideas that may work in the upcoming years. |
