Get a life...
While you may love work so much that you never want to leave, the truth is that you do need a life outside the fellowship.  There is plenty to do and see in the area to help you do that!!

First off, working at Rutgers gives you free full access to all Rutgers gyms.  Before using the facilities, you need to meet with a trainer at the College Ave. or the Easton Ave. gyms for a physical exam.  After this exam you will receive a Fit Check card, which allows you to use all of the cardiovascular machines.  It is a very easy process, and I would encourage you to do it immediately.

There are plenty of bars and restaurants in the New Brunswick area.  Additionally, there are movie theaters, clubs, shopping malls, bowling alleys, and even a minor league baseball team, the Somerset Patriots.

However, I find that the best place to be is New York City.  I spent most of my weekends in New York at museums (if I was feeling the need for a little culture), bars, restaurants, shows, and street fairs, just to name a few things.  Check out Time Out magazine or timeoutny.com for weekly special events in New York.

My favorite places in NY:
Central Park-in the spring, summer and fall, it is an awesome place to walk around.
Greenwich Village- there is some great shopping in that area
Union Square-in the few blocks around Union Square there are a ton of bars that are a LOT of fun
Murray Hill-a lot of young singles hang out in this area on the east side between 30th -40th streets
Museum of Modern Art (MOMA)
Movies- there are a lot of movies that only come out in NY that are fun to catch

Also, get to know the other JCSCs in the New York/ New Jersey area.  They are a great group of people to hang out with and can help you to meet other people in the area!!  It would be great to meet up before Leaders Assembly but if you dont have a chance, you will get to know them very well once youre at Leaders.
