Rutgers Collegiate 4-H Constitution
           Constitution of the Rutgers University Collegiate 4-H Club

I. Name and Symbols of the Organization
a. The name of the organization shall be the �Rutgers University Collegiate 4-H Club�, hereafter referred to as �RUC 4-H.�
b. RUC 4-H shall have two separate symbols to identify the organization.
i. In accordance with National Collegiate 4-H, the club shall use the traditional 4-H clover under a mortarboard within a rectangle with an arch at the top.
ii. The Club will use �Rutgers� curved over the arch.
iii. This organization shall abide by all applicable laws of the State of New Jersey and the United States.
iv. This organization shall abide by all applicable rules and regulations of the University and under privileges as granted by the Division of Student Affairs and by rules and regulations of the Board of Governors.

II. Membership
a. Membership shall be open to all Rutgers
University Students and must comply with federal laws prohibiting
discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, religion, national
origin, ancestry, age, sex, disability, marital status, familial status,
affectional or sexual orientation, or veteran status
b. The membership and fiscal year shall extend from September 1 to August 31.
c. Voting privileges and the ability to hold office will require attendance at 70% of meetings since his/her second meeting.
d. Membership will begin the second meeting attended.
e. In order to be excused from any activity or meeting, the member must notify one of the officers prior to the activity or meeting.
f. Legitimate Excuses shall include:
i. Conflict with work or class
ii. Studying for an exam or writing a paper
iii. Illness or other personal reasons.

III. Honorary Members
a. Should New Jersey colleges have 4-H clubs that are school approved and charted by the state 4-H Office, the members will be honorary members of the Rutgers Collegiate 4-H club, which means the following:
i. Must meet all qualifications in application
ii. Attendance of meetings
iii. Club Activities
iv. Trips Nationally and Regionally
v. Financially not supported by allocated funds by RUSA
vi. However, if Rutgers members vote officially to financially support the honorary member(s), fundraised money will be used to support the honorary member(s).
