The story begins in Nepal, the year is 1300 AD, as Stytentos relates the story of Walter Volkner and a band of Vampire killers who sought to free the world of the undead menace that has destroyed so many lives.

These courageous folk were no pre-Parisian Van Helsings, but all were gentle Lycanthropic people. (For the uninformed among you, it means werewolf). These people were not the baby-eating minions of evil they were portrayed to be as a whole. In fact, they were well respected, and human females greatly lusted after the male Lycanthropes.

In MOONWARRIORS, Rusty Nugent presents a wonderfully constructed yarn. From the deaths of young Walter's family at the hands of the neck biters, to the evil and traitorous end of Walter and his beloved Mary at the hands of a rogue werewolf, hundreds of years have passed--and thousands of undead have been dispatched to Hell.

At one point, a caring Walter, eager to save the life of a small diseased boy, asks permission from his parents to bite the lad on the arm to heal him. After gently clamping down on the boy's arm, Walter heals the bite by licking it. The boy is healed, and the grateful parents are given counsel to take the lad for training on being a respectful werewolf.

OPINION: The story ends tragically, in a bittersweet way with an age-old message: Those that are different have no place in this world. I stand up and applaud for MOONWARRIORS, a great, great addition to any lover of the fantasy genre.

I found this a very interesting plot --- werewolves against  vampires, and the action was nonstop. As a reviewer, I enjoyed the book and know that lovers of this genre will, too. The story was unique and intriguing, and your  characters were well portrayed. You are a very good writer --- and it shows in the enthusiasm of the story. Thank you for the opportunity to review Moonwarriors!

This is one of the best books I have read in a while! Even from the begining there are enough twist and turns to keep even the most action demanding reader entertained! The story line is very well developed, which is another element that makes this book great. The authors use of words make the story and characters very detailed, which makes this very enjoyable to read! This is a book you definetly will not want to put down! Congrats to Rusty Nugent for making such a great book!

If you are interested in reading an outstanding Novel that will absolutely delight you from beginning to end,you have to get this one ...It will not disappoint you for within its pages are everything you could ask for :Werewolves, Vampires, Adventure, Love, Betrayal, Honor, Chivilary, Days of Old, Heroic Battles and of course mature sexual content.
You will find yourself so involved with the main character, Walter Volknor, and his friends that you will feel as if you connect with them in some way,the story truly pulls you in as it unfolds and keeps you hanging on to find out what will happen next. Superbly well written in every way, a must have.
I love to read but the Novel has to be one that I would consider to be of a unique, enticing, enchanted quality from the first time I glance at its pages and begin reading the first chapter until I reach the final words at the end...It hasnt failed my first impressions of it yet and keeps my mind hooked for more.
It's sad to say that there are just not enough good werewolf books out as there is with the vampire. The werewolf however has done very well in film and the last 25 years have shown that these beasts do have more bite then just bark to them.
Every now and then however a good book will peek out from behind the full moon and rip it's claws into the reading public. One such book is from werewolf author Rusty Nugent with his novel "Moonwarriors". A smart and well thought out story about a young werewolf who sets out to kill every vampire in the land after they murdered his family. Nugent's writing is clear and right to the point and best of all . . . he knows his lycanthropes.

A reviewer ([email protected]), an avid reader., 11/15/2006      An Excellent Read!
'Moonwarriors' is an excellent read. Rusty Nugent is a very talented author who is easy to read and pulls you into his gothic tale of werewolf vs. vampire. Mr. Nugent personifies his characters in such a way that you become involved in their story and become intimate with each and every one of them. You feel their joy, their pain, their passion and desires. His words bring you an incredible tale of good vs. evil. I highly recommend 'Moonwarriors'. It's a page-turner for sure. You won't want to put it down and you most definitely won't be disappointed.
