My dad, sister, and cousin are leaving Bluefield on Thursday and should be here on Friday evening to help us move to our new apartment. My dad is also bringing down my new car, its a Plymouth Neon, 2001 model. I can't wait to test drive the thing, but its going to be a lot different driving it than my old, un-air conditioned, power-brake-less '87 S-10. I hated that piece of crap, especially since it never ran when it rained, and it loved to stall out in the middle of nowhere. I haven't driven that piece of crap in about five years, if you don't count the two or three times I tried running it this year and it stopped running. Its a shame that it takes me moving to Florida before my parents agree to co-sign for a new car for me. I've been using mass transit and carpooling with friends so much that I probably forgot how to drive! hehehe, nah, Im sure it will come back to me really quick.

In other news, Ive been applying to all kinds of jobs. Home Depot. Walgreens. Challenges Arcade at Tampa International. And I might end up getting that MindWorks job after all - only it will be part time. But any job is a good job when you are starting out in a new city with a new life :)

I am still recovering from the Chambers on Saturday, and its already Tuesday hehehe. It was fun though. I saw a few guys there that I had talked to online and so it was all cool. But now that I'm broke, I won't be going back for a while.

Found out that I might not get the job at MindWorks like I wanted. Seems there is a rule there that family members cannot work together there if one is in a position of power and the other one is just starting out there. So I may have to start a job search elsewhere, but hopefully not too far from Town N Country here, since I won't have my car here until September. Mom and dad are supposed to come down next month and bring my car.

And I guess since my financial aid was not enough to cover out of state student costs, I probably should contact USF today and let them know I won't be attending classes there until next fall probably at the earliest. I need to establish residency here before I go back to school, as its much too expensive for an out of state student to go to school down here, or actually, anywhere out of state.

I hope to find out soon if I got the job at MindWorks at the airport. Other than that I've just been chilling. I got my hair cut yesterday and super-bleached my hair on top again - this time it actually looks good. But it will soon lose its luster and Ill cut the thing off again :)

Went to Sacred Grounds coffeehouse near USF last night. I actually liked the place. Will be going back again hopefully. There were a lot of cute guys there tonight too. Presently, Im getting my outfit ready to go out again tonight. We are going to go to The Chambers tonight. Hopefully I will get to meet some of the guys that I talked to online there tonight. I will be wearing my brand new red lounge shirt with a ribbed white undershirt and jeans - everything I can do to glow under the blacklight :) hehehe

AUGUST 11, 2002

Made the move down to Tampa earlier this week, and really enjoying it quite a bit. Went to the Chamber last night ,its a pretty nice nightclub. It was bit crowded, so it felt like the Park in Roanoke, though, amazingly, not quite as crowded. It was a lot darker though, which can be a good thing :) I had a good time even though it was hot and you couldn't do much dancing. It takes me about two hours to really get into the music and become comfortable dancing but you couldn't really do much of that because of the crowd. But it was good just to people watch.
