Wooo hooo!!! My horoscope for tomorrow says that Lady Luck will visit me when the moon opposes Jupiter, so I should play the lottery tomorrow. Also, it says that by 7pm I will be making radical changes in my life and to expect a major career decision to be made tomorrow night. I wonder what it could be. Maybe I'll get a new job somewhere or something... hmmm... we'll see! Check back tomorrow to see if my horoscope was right!

Well a week of travel is finally over. Last weekend we went to Shawsville, VA for my brother Donnie's company picnic. Then the next day we had to go pick my aunt Sally up at the Grahams Forge bus terminal on her way back from Charlottesville. My sister drove us to Greensboro, North Carolina on Tuesday so we could visit my sister Cindy and my niece and my my nephew. We then drove to Durham to check into the hotel, but we got lost because of the I-40 road construction and ended up driving all over the place trying to find the hotel. I was trying to tell my sister where to go to, but the one way streets hampered our efforts to get there. We ended up driving through Duke University before we came to this little tiny convenience store in a really seedy part of town. My sister was all dressed up, and I tried to convince them not to stop there to ask for directions because we just screamed tourist. The store owners had no clue where we were supposed to be going to get to the motel - they only spoke Arabic. A customer, thankfully, knew where we were supposed to go, and she led us out of the neighborhood and showed us where we needed to go. The hotel was easy to find then.
The next morning, I had to get up early to get changed into my suit and such. I went to the hotel lobby for the Jeapardy interview, and there were like a gazillion people waiting in the lobby to take the test. We got to meet Cheryl from the Clue Crew and after taking the very difficult test, we found out that they only could select three people from the entire group to advance to the finals. I was not one of them. But I got a free Jeapardy inkpen for all the trouble of the long drive down.
We came back home yesterday, and ate at Shoneys in Whytheville before returning to Bluefield.

My dad and I went to Tazewell to buy a palmcorder that was on sale. Its a really nice piece of equipment considering how cheap it is. It has digital effects features such as negative imaging, mirror imaging, and paintbrush art effects that I had too much fun with today while recording. Other than that, today was a pretty standard day. The only new news came from the national Financial Aid office - they informed me that they've processed my SAR and sent it in to USF for approval. USF has yet to approve my financial aid package.
The houseguests for Big Brother 3 have been revealed. The gay one is a black guy named Marcellas. He sounds really interesting according to his profile on CBS.com but we'll have to wait and see.

We had a huge storm here today. The rain poured for about three hours, and we had dime-sized hail fall for about 45 minutes. It was awful. The town flooded and the hailstones trampled my flower bed but other than that everything was pretty much damage free after the storm passed.
In other news, I recieved three cassette tapes in the mail today to help with my meditation exercises. I only ordered one, a relaxation tape, but got two free ones that were randomly picked out to send to me. Not that I'm complaining. They are supposed to be subliminal message tapes, and since I've worked with them in my psychology classes at Radford with success, I thought I would try them. Basically, they are nothing but ocean waves and seagulls on tape with hidden messages that can only be processed by the subconscious mind. Besides the relaxation tape, the company also sent the two free ones: Attracting Money and Dreaming the Winning Numbers, and Astral Projection. Basically, they are saying I will dream up the winning lottery numbers if I listen to the first tape and I will have an out of body experience with the second! Im not sure if thats true, but hey, its fascinating and the tapes are relaxing. I have nothing to lose by trying them out of curiousity.
