Navy flag

YES - we invite you to the Naval Fortress and City of KRONSTADT!
Kronstadt is located on an island in the Gulf of Finland some 30 km (19 miles) northern west of St. Petersburg. In 1703 Peter the Great founded 2 fortresses to protect the new born St. Petersburg from enemies: Saint Petersburg in the Neva river and Kronstadt in the Gulf. Saint Peter and Paul fortress is one of the main tourist attractions in Russia. Kronstadt while enjoying the same unique place in Russian history is known only to few professionals: visitors (both Russian and foreign) were not allowed there till 1997 as the city had a Navy Base status. Now the gates are open and you are welcome to share with us Kronstadt's beauty and history!
For your convenience we would like to offer you tours combining a visit to Kronstadt with a visit to PETERHOFF (PETRODVORETS) world famous for its palaces and fountains. For more information about Kronstadt and available services please see our page .

Fort

From the year of it's foundation St. Petersburg has been an important military and naval center. There is at least half a dozen MILITARY & NAVAL MUSEUMS, dedicated to the history of Russian Army and Fleet. Although of great interest those museums are not known to foreigners: they are not included in standard tourist programs.

We will be happy to arrange tours, book theatre tickets, provide transportation and english speaking guides (we charge low group prices for individual tours). For more information and request E-mail: [email protected]
