| In order to cast magic, you must have the required runes in you're inventory for that spell. The type of spell, and level of spell affect what runes it needs. Elemental staffs act in place for the elemental rune it represents (e.g. equiping a staff of fire means any spells wich prevously needed fire runes will not whilst the staff is equiped.) The elemental runes are: fire, water, earth and air. You can buy seperate staffs for each of these runes for 1500gp at saffs staff shop in varrock. |
